Yeah because Nelsonville-York is such a terrible program. Bevo, you never cease to stir the pot. I will say that this is a game they should have won.
Ahhhh hit a nerve? lol It's true Meigs is Div 4 schedules Div 6 power Coal Grove gets Waxed, plays Fairlans in a basketball Game, thumps RV and strut then sees the headlights from NY and goes and hides. Not stirring the pot. speaking the truth they are pretenders!
I do think they were over zealous with their schedule this year. This is really the only game they've lost that I think they should have won. However, I think they still finish third in a solid league and they finish out 6-4. I'm not sure if NY has been given enough credit this season.

I do think they were over zealous with their schedule this year?
They got throttled by 2 div 6 schools they will never be a playoff team in Div 4.

I also think Meigs goes up from here. Good talent coming through.

Not under Bartrum, they are too unpredictable and the attitudes at Meigs are still the same, do you really see a big change from the old staff? As I watch each season develop it's the same old Meigs pretty physical, not Coal Grove or Nelsonville physical and too many good athletes never make it to the field as sr's. Meigs just is what they are.Haven't changed in 15 yrs.
I was wrong NY and CG are div 6 that helps the secondary points.

I believe they'll be fine. Coal Grove is off the schedule next year. Both of those programs are top notch programs who beat bigger schools all of the time.

Who they replacing them with Southern or Eastern? Meigs talent is a little above average nothing spectacular. How many keep playing sports how many coaches quit or get fired? Meigs is drama!

The score of this game in noway reflect how it went. Nelsonville has ONE player and ONE player only (Alex Mount) In which was contained after his first TD. I don't like to blame officiating, but tonight was absolutely horrible...EVERYTIME Meigs got yardage it was called back, Scored 2 Touchdowns and they were called back..One there was offsetting penalties after the touchdown and they still took the points off the board. Then on a fumble the whistle blows our player down and the ball is still rolling and they give the ball to Nelsonville. We had a player ejected because he was kicked in the stomach while he was down. We had 2 penalties on Coaches...Yes it was that bad.

Nelsonville is not a great team and they won't be seeing the playoffs in a few years, because Meigs has much more talent coming up.

Yes I'm from Meigs and yes you all will say I'm crybabying about the refs, but if there were 10 people that had no affiliation with either team, 9 out of 10 would say we were literally screwed!!!

NY fans are the first to complain about refs at other schools. As long as Davey Boston is the AD and football coach, you will see the worst refs at their place. Guaranteed

Lol. My has one player. Mount was contained to 300 yards after his first touchdown! :122246 and Edwards was contined to 100 yards passing. Ny also had a td taken off the board by mount or he would have had 400 yards. Ny had as many penalties as meigs. 3 scoring drives stalled in the red zone because of penalties. The player from meigs was ejected because he threw 4 right hooks. Just watched the replay on 15. Couldn't make it because little one was sick. You can say you got screwd but after watching the game I'd say your team is out of control under bartrum. Never saw a team under chancey ever act that way. You can see it on 15 on opening kick off the kicker rubbing the ball all over the ground before he kicked it. In the rain or anytime this is against the rules. The only time you got screwed was letting Chauncey go as your coach.

As stated, when Meigs scored 2 touchdowns, there just so happened to be offsetting penalties...those will not count as penalty yards, Mount was kept in check the first half, but after we had our best tackle ejected, we were deflated and thats when Alex took over...EVERYTIME meigs got a big chunk of yards is when there were flags...yes the penalty yards may only say for 85 yards, however when one for 10 yrds is called after an 80 yard gain, that don't show in the game stats.

Ahhhh hit a nerve?
Let's run the season down.
Schedule Div 6 Coal Grove and get absolutly waxed
Play Fairland and allow 69 points but win
Go to Logan get beat 55-7 that's contending
Run the Score up on RV and Vinton Co
Play Div 6 NY and (shoulda won) but lost by 18 points

I love to jerk your chain because your so easy! And the biggest Mike Bartrum homer on this site
I just happen to respect Coach Bartrum. Not the biggest homer though. He's just been a role model for me since I was a kid.

Real mature thing to say. What is an a$$clown anyway? Moderators?

After the tackle was ejected Ny only scored once more. The game was over before that happend. Ny should have scored 50. But the penalties hurt them too

For one you did not stop mount. he almost had 370 yards
2 Nelsonville had 12 penalties to 10 for meigs
3 the shut your leading running back to under 100 yards because we only have mount which don't play defense
4 you had a player ejected because he punched a kid in the head.
5 we also had a touchdown called back because of penalties
6 we played better football
