Real mature thing to say. What is an a$$clown anyway? Moderators?
Would you prefer D-Bag?

Don't categorize a fan base by one poster. Every team has those few who blame the game on the refs. The game was poorly officiated overall. Meigs has to play better defensively. Period. I will not take anything away from what the Buckeyes did. They came ready to play and played excellent defensively.

talking about the pot calling the kettle black, ny is some of the biggest crybabies I have ever seen, Davey boston running a class act, he is nothing but a butthole (being nice), there team is very disrespectful to the game, always has been and always will, yes we had a player kicked out, after being stepped on in the stomach many times, ref don't see that, must be having a cup of coffee with Davey, helmet to helmet on late hit to qb, flag for late hit but wait meigs scored so lets throw flag 7 seconds after scoring for holding, ref from ny side lines , player called for late hit stands over qb and gloats, no call on that having coffee again, and I could go on but have to get to work. so don't say meigs is crying over game, ny played a great game but you cant beat the refs.

A lot of interesting comments. The game was poorly officiated. Both teams are decidedly one dimensional in that the passing games are lacking in any consistency. N-Y managed to do something that has eluded them for much of the year and that is come up with the big play. Still, too many trips inside the 25 yard line that resulted in 0 points. Mike Bartrum may be a little more animated than he should be on the side line, but it's nice to at least see some passion. Neither one of these teams should make the playoffs this year, regardless of record. Admittedly I haven't followed Meigs every week, but having had a conversation with Coach Bartrum in the past, I believe he is trying hard to build a winning program as much as helping boys grow into young men. That used to mean something. I'm not so sure about the N-Y program anymore, and I have to question why there is such a constant turnover of assistant coaches as well as the number of "kids" themselves that are coaching on the sideline. N-Y certainly has some talented youngsters in their Freshman and Sophomore class, what remains to be seen is will they be developed to the level of their potential.

Coach_K wrote:The score of this game in noway reflect how it went. Nelsonville has ONE player and ONE player only (Alex Mount) In which was contained after his first TD. I don't like to blame officiating, but tonight was absolutely horrible...EVERYTIME Meigs got yardage it was called back, Scored 2 Touchdowns and they were called back..One there was offsetting penalties after the touchdown and they still took the points off the board. Then on a fumble the whistle blows our player down and the ball is still rolling and they give the ball to Nelsonville. We had a player ejected because he was kicked in the stomach while he was down. We had 2 penalties on Coaches...Yes it was that bad.

Nelsonville is not a great team and they won't be seeing the playoffs in a few years, because Meigs has much more talent coming up.

Yes I'm from Meigs and yes you all will say I'm crybabying about the refs, but if there were 10 people that had no affiliation with either team, 9 out of 10 would say we were literally screwed!!!

Hitting that Meigs Gold a little too much!

Coach Boston is a first class guy and does a great job. Your player was ejected for being an idiot, and you disrespect the game with your wild accusations.

No puffing here, don't touch that stuff, just know a horrible officiating game when I see it....Of course you orange and brown won't see it that way when it was in your favor, but if it was at Meigs and you got homered, you would see it how we see it!!!

I gotta watch the replay this morning and the officials were bad both ways so quit crying about it already.

Give our boys an ounce of credit for God sakes..........

Now wait a minute! I thought he was contained after his first touchdown!!

Good luck the rest of the way Bucks! And good luck Meigs. As coach bartrum said in the paper. The Athens game is the one you circled on your schedule. Go out and give em heck!

very valid and interesting points on both teams old buckeye. Actually I thought meigs would be even better this year then last year. NY definitely needs some passionate and experienced coaches on the staff. Fresh ideas need to be welcomed . I'm not sure the same passion is there right now to put in the time needed in the off season. I hope these younger classes get to play up to their potential. I'll get to come to a game in a couple weeks I can't wait.

Now that's funny Coach K someone from Meigs County complaining about officiating and being homered. You see the same officials in every sport at every Meigs County school and the schools that don't want an assigner. Wow.

Have you seen Meigs records the last many years, I'd say if we had the officials in our back pockets, we would have more winning seasons. Meigs has been horrible in pretty much ALL sports for several years, But that is all about to change, maybe not next year, but the year after. Next year will still be a down year I think, but come 2017, 2018, 2019 Your gonna see a big turnaround at Meigs. Our strong sport this year will be baseball and softball if they get a good coach for softball that is. Baseball will be very strong.

I watched the NY player fumble then Meigs player dive on the ball then the whistle blew. Then get up and hand ball to the official and the official gave the ball to NY. NY was and is the better team but yes the officials were horrible. NY would win 9 out of 10 times if they played every week.

2 out of 3 of Meigs wins came against teams that are currently 0-6, right?
