It's a FINAL.

Ready 38
Valley 33

Indians dug themselves a big hole (with the help of the Ready defense) by only scoring 5 points in the 1st half, and going 4-11 at the FT stripe.

Stats:
Valleys FTs 4-11
Valleys 3pts 5-21
Readys FTs 14-24
Readys 3pts 2-16
Valley turnovers 14
Ready turnovers 11
Valley rebounds 29
Ready rebounds 28

Congratulations to Ready, and heck of a run by Valley! SOC title, sectional title, district title, and regional runner-up, nothing to be ashamed of being in the final 8 teams in D3!

Congrats to the Indians on a great season. I had a feeling after watching Ready against the Burg that Valley would have a tough go against that defense.

Congratulations to Lucasville Valley on a great season, great tourney run … I truly enjoyed being able to watch this group of athletes for the Indians on many occasions this season/post season …wishing nothing but good things for the graduating seniors and those returning for next year you KNOW what this years seniors have laid down as the "norm" for VHS basketball …looking forward to seeing what Coach Rolfe, Coach Crabtree & staff put on the court next season …

Absolutely, and I was happy to see then battle back after being down 16 early in the 3rd.

The Burg made a good push at the end of the half to cut it to three but then turned it over the first 3 or 4 possessions of the 3rd quarter to go back down by double digits and could never get any closer. That defense by Ready was smothering.

Valley made a helluva run in the tourney and have nothing to be ashamed off. They did the SOC and Scioto county proud.

Post by then what »

Just an observation, When teams from this area play for a regional championship they choke! The teams from the north love to play teams in our area. Thats why we get no respect in the south! Congrads to Valley on the SOC and district champs. Just wish this area was more successful at the regional final level!

Let's see, Wheelersburg has 4 trips to the Final 4 and two runner up titles, Portsmouth has 13 trips to the Final 4 and four state titles according to the OHSAA, South Webster has two and a state title, Oak Hill has I believe one trip and a state title, and Ironton has a couple trips there as well. I think the southeast region has done fairly well.

I agree! Ironton, Portsmouth (x2), Chesapeake, Piketon, Wheelersburg (x2) in the last years have been flukes!!!

I was just throwing teams that have choked in at least the past 7-8 years in D3 from here. Obviously, my teams I posted haven't got it done lol
