juke boxer don't worry about me, I am plenty proud. I never said I wasn't proud, Charley Hustle said I didn't understand rebuilding thats why I brought it up.

And eveeryone on here knows what Ironton fans put stock in....Half the posters from Ironton think the sun rises and sets on tank stadium. Do you really think beating a team by 7 is handling them. especially when it is a team that if had last years team you wouldve hung 70 on them. Supporting your team is one thing but dont try and make it sound like you just beat a playoff caliber team.
i think you need to stop worrying about Ironton. Maybe you should worry about your team down there on the West Side. From sounds of it, not looking to hot down there.
Im not worried about Ironton just making a friendly observation.....We will be fine, we did just play the defending regional champs and held them to 300 yards of offense thats not to bad.

The Tomcats will be on fire when they take the field for this one. The enthusiasm for this one reminds me of the old Ashland vs boyd co. games of the early 70's. Should be a great game. I'm taking Ashland by 12 in this one.

Funny how this is such a hot topic in Ashland but no one Bluegrass Preps is talking about it.
All the talk is about Raceland Coal Grove game and how Coal Grove is simply over matched lol.
That said I believe Ironton is up to the Task for their first road game and up to the Task of bringing home a win.

Drew Pastuer site predicted Ironton could go 5-5 and still make playoffs unreal for sure but thinking 7-3 or even 6-4 would be a might better for them.
But in all honesty these games do need to be taken one game at a time.
Good Luck Tigers

Can't say good game Tigers but you never gave up.
Again TURNOVERS was a problem for this young team and frustration with the ref's never helped.
2 dropped passes that was sure td's didn't help this team but Ironton can blame only them self's for not making the most of opportunities.
This team made mistakes and will learn from them as long as they keep trying the will always be winners period.
Now let's get ready for Portsmouth and move forward.

Someone quoted in last week's Amanda post game comments that an IHS big lineman & leading rusher both went out of game on crutches. Is that true or here say ?

I can't see these young Fighting Tigers play, but based on roster realize why they're up & down each week.

You never know if they'll start coming together & rolling, & SOOO hope they do. Just hope they stay injury free, win some more, & stay healthy against some of these HUMINGOUS schools !! JC, KY comes to mind, as they really took some twisted, torn, sprained, & bruised body parts home last year!
Knew Paul Blazer wouldn't be EZ ,& that: " it's just Ashland" comment needs to be put to rest, IMHO!
If anyone could fill me in on a health report, private me!
Thx!
I'll always believe in those tigers!!!

Ironton was without their 2 fullbacks and 2 linebackers.
the starting linebacker and Fullback is out with a broken leg.
The primary back up at fullback and other starting Linebacker was out with a injury he dressed the second half but never played.
This is a young team still learning to play period they never gave up and will improve as the year goes along.
So what it's just Ashland big deal how many teams right now would love to be 2-2 and still looking at making the playoffs in this area?????????
and not 0-4 or 1-3 and just hoping to go .500
This is a young and proud team that will get better and will always have the true Tiger fans support win or lose.

Did SR Lineman Tyler Taylor play tonight? I know he went out late in the game last week and was on crutches after the game.

I agree, in the last 5 years, how many times has Ashland won? Maybe they're saying "it's just Ironton"

In the last 6 years they are tied up 3-3, finally getting the Rivalry back after the Tigers dominated for several years. The Tigers won 17 in a row before the 2009 season

2008 Ironton (H) 18 6
2009 Ashland (A) 26-12
2010 Ironton (H) 43-6
2011 Ashland (A) 28-6
2012 Ironton (H) 27-17
2013 Ashland (A) 42-20

I see we lost. I knew this was gonna be a long hard year for the fighting tigers, as long as they are learning the fundamentals and not giving up.

Ironton ran the T a lot till they got behind and had to pass and they actually moved the ball better with quick sets.
