... just found out that the Wellston game IS NOT vs Wellston BUT a game in the Wellston INVITATIONAL vs an as yet undisclosed opponent ... I KNOW that having Athens scheduled last season in the opening week of the season turned into an issue - Logan helped Athens by allowing the dogs to move the game from week #1 to a later date due to the Athens' football run in the playoffs - having to move the early AHS game turned the week that it was moved to into a week of 4 games in 5 days issue for Logan ... this season's scheduling I'm sure took into account AHS again looking to be in the Football post season, the AD wanting to have a "SET" 22 game schedule before he (the AD) officially retired ... Coach Helber's boys played Athens darn good last year! getting a "W" at home - playing a DII power always helps your team/your program ... would have still liked to see at least one meeting between Logan/Athens but with Athens picking up some "big boy" teams on their schedule I'm sure those "Big Boy" teams dictated to AHS when/where they would play so the chances of both Logan/Athens having an open date was decreased significantly ...pfloyd wrote:... Logan ,as 93dog posted, will pickup a 2nd game vs Vinton Co., added a game with Wellston, still playing Alexander for a one matchup as well ... Logan will be playing Sheridan for a home & home out of the MVL ... the Purple will also see non league teams Unioto (1), Wadkins (1), St. Charles (1), Teays Valley (1), Lancaster (1), Fairfield Union (1), Bloom Carroll (1) & Chesapeake (1) ...2 league games each with the remaining cast of characters Gallia, Jacskon, Portsmouth, Warren ... out of the teams left on the schedule non league foes want to play AT Logan to get a feel for the floor/rims for when they come calling in the DII section ( Vinton County, Sheridan, FU) fall into that category ...I hate to NOT SEE Athens on the schedule for 2013-14 ...
