Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?

Now we have mayors thinking up ways to align conferences. LOL. The TVC seems content as it is. They are now the premier conference in our part of the state. They dont have to apologize to anyone for anything. They are regularly represented in playoffs and at the state level in two states.

Sorry Jackston.......not in this lifetime. We have standards and you dont meet them.

Surely they have their own plan.

Those standards are too low for Jackson anyway..... you put your foot in your mouth on that one.

Standards that Jackson doesn't meet? Shoot... Maybe in basketball, but put them in the TVC, and they win it every other year in football! I believe Athens/Jackson would be a heck of a rivalry game year in and year out! Shoot that was the one matchup that if it happened last year, I don't care where it was, I was going to it, and I believe a lot of southern Ohio people felt the same way!

Jackson and Logan should complain about the people running their school and not the leagues.

Starting threads about it is not the best way to end the talk....but at least you were classy about it.

The mayor also happens to be the SE District historian...not quite just some political science guy throwing crap on the wall and hoping it sticks.

I wish this talk would end also....but it won't for a good while. The only league around I'd like to see Jackson in is the SOC but that won't happen. Jackson sports will continue to be more than fine. Some kids aren't going to have all-league plaques and league title won't be for some of the spectacular up and coming football and baseball teams.

Which Jackson athletic programs have been fine for,lets say, the last 20 years or so? At least compared to a neighboring school like Gallipolis?

Over the last 20 years Jackson has done fine in football, baseball,girls softball, girls basketball, girls track is not too bad..don't follow all of them

Fort Frye was originally supposed to join the TVC in 1970 at the time Nelsonville-York joined, but it didn't happen.

Fort Frye would be just fine as they only have 122 boys but in basketball they would dominate lower schools

As far as NY is concerned yes. But we only get one vote. Apparently the majority doesn't think Jackson is a good fit. So the question is, do you have the ability to accept that and move on?
