LOL !!!!!!!!! Many people said that Burg would win with running clock , not all Burg fans by the way. West fans said that was cocky there was no way that would happen. I have seen both teams played and knew West was a good football team that would come in play their best game of their year and they did exactly that, take nothing away from them, This Burg Team is on a whole different level.
Yes Wheelersburg is a very good football team. So is West. Game kinda got away from West late but with 8 minutes to go in the game the score was 27-7. It was a hard fought game.
With 8:14 to go in the game... score was 34-7!

Does anyone know the general health of west coming out of this game. They had several kids limp off or be helped off. It was a very physical game. Hopefully they are able healed up and healthy and ready to go round one I really want to see them playing and beating Johnstown in round 2

Lol When will you get it grad??? Westfan OBVIOUSLY doesn’t allow facts to get in his way when posting!! Everyone told him running clock... he denied it. We all watched the game, Burg dominated from the 2nd quarter on, denial again lol game didn’t kinda get away... Burg took it away. Haters gonna hate man ... Obviously!

Well it used to be called just winning by more than 30 lol. OHSAA changed that for everyone. Personally I hate the running clock. Too many times I’ve seen that what one team can do the 1st half the other team can do the 2nd. But that’s JMO....

Yes. The announcer had his big spill about it too. The announcer screams like he's being castrated.

Too bad you won’t get to hear him give it again in a couple weeks.

Westfan wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2017 1:36 pm He also missed an obvious block in the back on Wheelersburgs #10 on West's first punt that should have backed Wheelersburg up inside the 10. And #10 punched #38 for West right after that on the same side. Stuff goes both ways. It's high school.

Wheelersburg is a very good team. Their speed and formations are hard to adjust to. The McNeil boy hurting his knee and Berry out makes West very thin at DB and Linebacker. I thought West done alot of really good things. Wheelersburg stacked the box with 8 and really went hard down hill to stop the run. Bradford did well throwing.

Those are the kind've games that make you better. I say there is a good chance we play again.
I couldn’t disagree more! I’m glad it went the way it did and was confident all week that’s the way it would go. West did play hard I give them that, but just out matched from the beginning in all phases of the game!

A few weeks ago I was talking about how the running clock should either be thrown out or increased to 40 points. Then I get home and find out Minford blew a 28-point second half lead to prove my point.

West played very hard, no stupid penalties like in years past. After the burgs offense got rolling I never got the feeling west was going to be able to slow them down. Thought the burg started wearing west down and physically taking it to them late in the game.

Vass before transfers 229-75 burg 5-1, Pendleton and transfers 211-84 6-2 ironton

2nd quarter about the 1000 mark. Def a fumble by burg , should've been west football

Couldn't of been. This was the greatest referee's ever doing this game with one of them being phenomenal

Would it have changed the outcome of the game? Probably not

41-7, like I said, west came out early and kept game in check then in 2nd qtr had to show their hand. Burg made the adjustments in 2nd half and took the win. West made some great passing throws, some from out of bounds, but wasn’t much of a challenge after midway thru the 2nd qtr. good luck in the playoffs
