Oh, and Meyer responded to Bret Bielima's comments today at the coaches clinic. Here is what he said:

"Urban Meyer: "You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again... harder next time."

Peake is very correct in that UM got more production out of their RB position than OSU did, and Fitz returns. He's not hyping him as a Heisman winner. But he is right that LAST YEAR the UM running backs were better than those at OSU.

OSU lost their best and most consistent. And while I believe that OSU is much deeper, and under a proper offensive system, better than Fitz and anything UM has at RB. My belief in that is unfounded and based on what I expect out of the group this year, not on any on field production. In fact if we base it on on field production, then the group OSU has would be one of the worst in the conference, if not the country!

Your, and more accurately, our argument is based on achieving expectations. While Peake has based his on the "Eye Test" and what UM has returning.

I BELIEVE that OSU is ready to be the top team in the conference, and by the end of the year, will be!
Right now though, going into the year, it's hope and hype, not factual.

Stock up » » Fitzgerald Toussaint*, Michigan, RB: Since taking over as the feature back, he has posted two games with 170-plus yards rushing, including his 27-carry, 192-yard effort against Illinois. His rugged style has sparked Michigan's running game, and allowed the team to win without major contributions from Denard Robinson .

I guess the NFL doesn't count as someone who is noticing @ Spamony the moron.

@Vegas,

Do you really not ever watch UM aside from one game? No Vincent Smith ran for 400 yards this year, and should finish his career at Michigan with over 2000 yards on the ground. He is also an excellent pass catching back. UM is fine at RB. I still don't get why you don't understand. After being named the starter in game 1, he got hurt. He was worked back into the lineup and was no longer the starter and Vincent Smith was. Toussaint did not start another game until Michigan State due to injuries, and then two carries into that one pulled his hammy. He only started 6 games this year not including the bowl. You are wrong on FLorida. Tebow had just won the Heisman that year.

Actually I remember Tebow was pretty banged up that year, couldn't believe he still won the Heisman with all that going on,he had to take pain killing injections the last 6 games of the year after injuring his shoulder,he also had a fractured hand that year, tough guy for sure!

May I ask why um will be brought back to reality? I haven't claimed anything aside from I think um will beat OSU in Columbus. Michigan is the favorite to win the big ten is it really that unrealistic to think it could happen? OSU will be introducing a new system, I am sure as good as OSU teams feel they will be, somewhere they will probably slip up due to inexperience and running a new system.

I don't care about Tim tebow or what excuse you are trying to use for us beating Florida. They still had harvin, they still had spikes, they were still loaded. Difference was they were young and Michigan was a team with a bunch of juniors and seniors. This is why I drawl the comparison. Is it really that unlogical to make the comparison.

I get you all are very excited, as you should be, and maybe I should have let you throw your we are back and better then everyone else party and just kept my mouth shut. I am not worried about Michigan or Ohio state. Both will win their fair share, and I don't see any streaks being run off against either.

Diggs was scheduled to announce on Friday on Maryland Commcast cable, after the Wizards game.

This would be great, only if he were picking Maryland.

He has backed out of that, and will not be announcing on that show.

No firm word on if he still announces Friday yet.
His list is UF, OSU, Maryland, Auburn.

He mentions Maryland as hometown.
Auburn as a "family" feel.
Florida as having awesome weather.
And OSU as a great place with great facilities and coaches.

Meyer's statement on the difference in coaching for UF and for OSU:

"I think it's very similar. Biggest difference is, this is my home."

2 sources close to Diggs commented on his future.

One said Maryland.
The other said OSU.

I hope he picks osu. We really need a big time play maker on offense. I would think he would see the field alot next season as a freshman

Sporting News is projecting (within the last few hours) that Diggs will be commited to Maryland tomorrow......hope they are dead wrong!

Not that I had any real information, but there a several good council kids at Maryland, and never count out the team that gets the last visit (Maryland).

Devier Posey ran a 4.37 at the combine.
Braxton sure could have used that for 13 games instead of 3!

Most of the BIg Ten wideouts have been great so far.

1. Posey ran well
2. Keshawn Martin of Michigan State ran a 4.35
3. BJ Cunningham of Michigan State ran a 4.47
4. Marvin McNutt of Iowa ran a 4.42
5. JR Hemmingway of Michigan ran a 4.5 and was second in bench with 21 reps
6. Nic Toon ran a 4.53

Good day for all the Big Ten guys at wideout.

OL
1. Dave Molk of Michigan led all OL with 41 reps on bench.
2. Disappointing day for Mike Adams, he only did 19 reps on bench.
3. Brewster had a pretty solid day.
4. Koontz of Wisconsin also had a very disappointing day on the bench.

Mike Adams benched like crap and was slow.
But, the bench is a horrible judge of overall strength, especially for a long armed O-lineman.

He's being projected as climbing into the first round.

Posey ran routes well today too, his problem is 60 minutes of focus and having to account for 1 bad drop per game.

I've heard people say that about guys with long arms, but Jake Long who is the same size did 38-39 reps.

Posey has always had the talent, but his problem is between his ears.

Mike Floyd of Notre Dame also looked really good running today. Geesh was this kid underwhelming at ND. If he were at somewhere that he would have been developed he would have been a second coming of Calvin JOhnson.
