I had a feeling you would know as well, Bolt? That's a boomer. Who punted it?

Longest punts:
Joe Karshner - 70 yards in 1938
Bill Johnston - 70 yards in 1941
Johnny Conrad - 63 yards in 2000
Frasure’s kick was 62 yards last night according to team stats.

So the 63 yarder wasn't the longest then? Wow those guys back in the 30's and 40's must have had some strong azz legs, lol. If I remember right Frasure's kick got a lot of roll on that artificial turf which no doubt helped out.

Both of those guy were unreal players. Johnston played at Miami University. Karshner played in “all American” type game on New Year’s Day in Florida his senior year.cbolt wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2019 4:53 pm So the 63 yarder wasn't the longest then? Logan had the 63 yard kick as their record for a long time. I found the other two during my research. I even had a player from the 40s tell me about Johnston’s and that’s how I went back to find it.
Back in those days the punt was a huge play. Teams would punt on early downs to try and flip the field on a regular basis. Usually if you started inside your own 20 you’d just punt it to try and keep the other team from getting the ball in your half.

Good catch locos! That's wild they punted that much back then. Jim Tressel would have loved that.
