This most likely is the end for a very storied and long competition between these two schools that had to start in the PVL (predecessor to the PVC) that included Warren, Meadowbrook, Woodsfield, and a couple of other schools in the early to mid-60's. Chief Jay played the Cadets every year of his tenure as head coach, and we played FF in BB and baseball as well. Sad to see it end, but circumstances and times change.

Monroe Central did not get a 1st down on Fort Frye until middle of the 4th.

In fact, while Fort Frye was exerting its will offensively, its defense was equally up to the task. The Cadets held the Seminoles to 44 yards of total offense and two first downs, the first not coming until the fourth quarter of a game that had a running clock during most of the final 24 minutes. Of that total, 31 yards of it was gained on one play — a strike from Malachi Rose-Burton to Michael Bunning late in the game.
