Why all the title changes?
Why all the title changes?
Makes everything hard to find IMO. Maybe it’s only like that on my phone (only thing I view SEOP on)
So many threads started with no replies. Could those be deleted or something after a few days? Scores can easily be found on the weekly scores threads. I know we are trying to build this site even more but so many schools represented on here have no one that ever posts.
I’m not sure starting all the threads for every single game is beneficial to this site. It makes it more difficult to navigate IMO. I definitely prefer that we can start a thread and title it how we want to within the rules...opposed to them all looking the same.

Yeah, I just copy and paste them. There is a little search at the top that searches the page your on if your looking for a particular game.

I do too, but several get no posts and makes the page busy to view. Let the fans start the game threads. If a decent or big game get to say Monday with no game thread....go ahead and start one for it.
Re: Why all the title changes?
Updating titles, now... Does it help when I take the date out?

Re: Why all the title changes?
For me I like the final score in the heading if the game has been played. If it's an upcoming game I lime (example) week 6 then the two teams that are playing.

I like when it has the week, records and where the game is played. For Ex. Wk7: Wellston (5-1) @ Nelsonville-York (4-2). Just my personal opinion though

That’s fine...that’s how I do it. Either the week or the records. I usually do records as that tells the week. But I’ve never had difficulty finding the current threads of the current and prior week until recently. I’ve been on here for 13-14 years and have never had much trouble just quickly gazing through and finding what I want. I’m not going anywhere but just busy with stuff on the first page that few or no one posts on.NY BUCK wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:25 pm I like when it has the week, records and where the game is played. I don’t like changing the titles as long as they are correct, especially before the game and thread has ended it’s consistent talk. After talk is over putting in a date or final score in the thread is fine as long the team didn’t run up the score
It’s Matt’s site. I’m not going anywhere but I don’t like all the added nothing threads and title changing, But maybe it’s adding members and revenue and making things overall better to keep this site going.
Just my opinion. I could be all alone.
Re: Why all the title changes?
I like the feedback... I won't change the threads or titles. Just add the score after the game is over going forward. Your right the date did make everything look mashed together.Ironman92 wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:45 pmThat’s fine...that’s how I do it. Either the week or the records. I don’t need to be right but I felt enough about it to put out there. You don’t have to listen but I appreciate that you do. I’m just 1 of many on here. It’s a solid site that I along with many enjoy. I put good effort into most of my posts. There aren’t a lot of sports chat sites left that are worthwhile....I like having this place around. Very informational for many desired needs.mattash wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:56 pmI like the feedback... I won't change the threads or titles. Just add the score after the game is over going forward. Re: Why all the title changes?
People write the titles the way they want them. The changed titles look awful.

Re: Why all the title changes?
Games should be titled the same way we have done it forever.
Wellston at Nelsonville-York
Logan at Athens,
That way no one has to guess who the home team is.
