Ironton/Burg Fans
Looking for some insight in regards to calculating playoff points. Could anyone help me with some of the Kentucky/WV schools Ironton and Burg play in regards to what division they equate to in Ohio? Looking for the following team's Divisions:
Mason
Lawrence
Montgomerery
Flemming
East Carter
West Carter
Knox Central
Boyd County
George Washington West Virginia
Spring Valley West Virginia

Not sure about Knox but I think D4
Boyd co D4
Not sure about spring valley both are big schools
In Kentucky 1a is the smallest 5a being the biggest so all of those schools would be considered bigger than Ironton and wheelersburg

There is no benefit to looking into this when you are looking at L2 points for Burg and Ironton. It doesn't matter the size of the schools that these teams beat. All that matters is the size of the team that the Ohio team beats.
For instance....When Greenup beat ND, Wheelersburg receives 5.5 level two points. If Russell were to beat Mentor, Ironton would only receive 5.0 level two points.
Level two for out of state teams carry a constant number regardless of size.

Really? I didn’t know that. Seems beneficial to schedule out of state big schools who play smaller schools. Thanks

Kentucky goes to 6A. I think Kentucky needs to go back to 4A or go to 5A as the highest class. 6 classes is too many.Tripaces wrote: Tue Oct 15, 2019 1:19 pm Mason D3

Spring Valley is 4A it’s three school combine into one. George Washington was 3A last I knew. WV goes from 1A-4ADaWoodSoldier wrote: Tue Oct 15, 2019 12:49 pm Looking for some insight in regards to calculating playoff points. Re: Ironton/Burg Fans
Here is what I came up with
*definitely making some educated guesses on some teams opponents remaining games...
Ironton wins out at 9-1 and Burg beats Waverly- 26.0 points/ Ironton wins out Burg loses to Waverly- 25.5 Loss to Galia at 8-2- 20.85
Ridgewood wins out at 10-0- 22.65 (Some toss up games for Northwestern and River View, could be slightly higher or lower)
Burg wins out at 7-3 - 22.65 Loss to Waverly at 6-4 - 18.5
Amanda wins out at 9-1 - 21.25 Loss to Teays Valley at 8-2- 16.9
Minford wins out at 9-1 20.9 Loss to Waverly at 8-2 - 17.2
Portsmouth wins out at 9-1- 18.2 Loss to Ironton at 8-2- 15.05
Wellston wins out at 9-1 - 18.3 Loss to Athens- 15.5
Columbus Academy wins out at 7-3 16.88 Loss to Grandview Heights at 6-4- 13.45
Johnstown Monroe Wins out at 6-4- 13.05 Loss to Heath at 5-5- no chance at 8.70
Fairland would need to win out at 7-3 to have a chance and I think they would be in if that were to happen

Looks solid. I will do the math after this weekend and make my final prediction.
