Jackson's Score Board, How Much?
Jackson's Score Board, How Much?
This year when Jackson hosted an Ironton playoff game I couldn't help but be envious of their absolutely beautiful scoreboard they have as video of each player was shown and he introduced himself. How much does a board like that cost? I would love to see one put up at Ironton's Tank Stadium.
Is a board like that something only for the rich and famous or would it be feasible for a small town to be able to raise donations to erect one?

Could be wrong here, but I believe an individual from Jackson told me it was around 225K or so.kantucky wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2019 12:08 am This year when Jackson hosted an Ironton playoff game I couldn't help but be envious of their absolutely beautiful scoreboard they have as video of each player was shown and he introduced himself. Depending on what all you get done to the scoreboard it can cost less than 200,000 for sure

It just depends if I’m reading correctly you can buy a used screen and it will be around 58k then if you want to add live video and replay add an extra 9-20k

Yeah, I was thinking more on the lines of, I've got a hundred to toss in and finding a few hundred like minded to match that.
Then again, this might not be so out of reach. It would be a wonderful addition to any stadium.

Video capability is nice, but some of these scoreboards (not necessarily referring to Jackson since it has been a couple years since I have been there) sacrifice the size of and location of the game info (time/down/distance/TOL/etc), which can make it hard to read.

I'd sure toss in the first hundred! I'd love to see this. I'm so darned excited to see Ironton excited about their program again. My dream is this will continue till after I leave this planet.countywide35 wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2019 10:46 am state runners up and pretty good amount of talent coming back for another run.....I say the I-town faithful would make it happen...…..
As far as paying five dollars to park in Jackson's grass, I personally cannot speak too highly of the job they done of hosting our play off game. Facilities were great, felt very welcomed and they done a great job. By the way, I paid $10.00 to park in a lady's yard in Canton, Saturday. Followed signs that said this way to parking and a couple blocks later, cop told us to go back with no explanation of where to go, stumbled into her parking
We were taken great care of everywhere we played I thought; we were in Jackson, Nelsonville and Chillicothe. I've sure got no complaints. I understand you can't expect them to do this free.
