As it standings right now, I'd give Athens a punchers chance of beating a 3 seed if they end up the 6.
Three really good scorers in Butcher, Whiting and Markins.
They have a shut down defender in Nate Trainer, who was also TVC-Ohio DPOY in football.
They have decent size.

They key to being a serious threat in D2 is whether or not Will Matters can develop a little more over the next month and a half and become that 4th reliable scorer. He has the potential, the capability, but getting injured last week and missing some games is not helping. Ugh.
