1982 Pete Taggart game winning TD pass to NATU Patel against Belpre. Before the 1990’s only 2 teams from each region made the playoffs. Even coming off of a state championship they weren’t guaranteed to make the playoff. Nelsonville-York needed a win to cap off back to back undefeated seasons, a TVC title, and a playoff birth. In a close game With Less than 1 minute left down 13-12, it was 4th and 10 from 35 yard line. Taggart dropped back to pass and found Patel in the end zone For the game winning TD PASS. The Bucks won the game and continued the streak right into the playoffs.

2004 Ernie Perkins game winning sack against Wellston. Up 13-8 late in the 4th quarter and Wellston driving to attempt to win the game, the defense needed to stand strong one more time, as they had done all year with 3 shut outs and only giving up 2 1/2 touchdowns per game. Wellston was down to their final play and needed a big one to keep their hopes Alive. The Rocket QB dropped back but was met by Nosegaurd Ernie Perkins and the Buckeyes won the game and helped them On Their way to their 15th TVC Title
