Re: First Practice Numbers
I heard Belpre only had 14 players. They fitted 29. Some kids on vacation and heard one or 2 was working.

Re: First Practice Numbers
With 1st day and all these months off I hope all schools are practicing today. If kids are on vacation practice with the other one’s. A lot of work to do in 3 weeks or so.

Re: First Practice Numbers
I just hope that we can get the 10 games in and not have to settle for a 7 or 8 game regular season. However, I guess 7 games is better than none since I have washed my hands of college FB. PV numbers are down but I will take quality over quantity any day, the OL looks great and our RB is gonna break some ankles this season.Beergogglebluez wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2020 4:00 pm With 1st day and all these months off I hope all schools are practicing today. Portsmouth West had 48 show. Heard from a friend who’s son is on the team. Would be a big improvement from last years 34.

Burg has 70+. Not sure how many over. Don’t know about their D-1 status Lol. Looks like good numbers for everyone which is a good sign.

Re: First Practice Numbers
The Facebook page actually said 70 and there are at least 2 D1 Athletes, one committed to Ohio State and another with 5 D1 offers.Orange and Brown wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:41 pmAccording to their Facebook page, they have 700 kids showing up every single day and they are all D1 athlete's![]()
I like it, a lot of people follow Irontons Facebook page on here not from Ironton.
Go Fighting Tigers......
Re: First Practice Numbers
Their Facebook is a little over the top but that’s ok. The tiger fans I’m sure enjoy it.ohbuckeye2 wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2020 10:10 pmThe Facebook page actually said 70 and there are at least 2 D1 Athletes, one committed to Ohio State and another with 5 D1 offers.Orange and Brown wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:41 pmAccording to their Facebook page, they have 700 kids showing up every single day and they are all D1 athlete's![]()

None of this means anything really. It’s just a game we like to watch.
Re: First Practice Numbers
Over the top is an understatement. It is entertaining though, in a cheesy sort of way!

Re: First Practice Numbers
That's great to hear. 48 is really good considering the very small junior class. If they stay with this pattern they should be back around 60 kids soon. Alot of hard workers and good athletes in that 48 also.Basketballfan40 wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2020 4:59 pm Portsmouth West had 48 show. Heard from a friend who’s son is on the team. Re: First Practice Numbers
My favorite was when they shared the open enrollment link with the caption "If you want to be a fighting Tiger you have to have your paperwork in by this date"Tjhtygeverve wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2020 1:46 pmOrange and Brown wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:41 pmAccording to their Facebook page, they have 700 kids showing up every single day and they are all D1 athlete's![]()
