Lance Moore (former NFL) gives shoutout to Logan, on Twitter

Post by formerfcfan »

The former Saints wide receiver referenced the home playoff loss his Westerville South team took to Logan in 2000.

One of the best nights ever.

We pulled into the parking lot where the students had hung a giant sign that read "GOT TEETH?" - this was back when the "Got Milk" ads were big.

Logan filled the visitor sides 2 hours early and half the home side was purple by kickoff.

Lance Moore was a helluva player. And their #2 receiver (Steve Odom) set a bunch of records at Toledo.

There are some great stories around this game - both on and off the field. I hope to share those in an article in the future.

I watched the whole game from the sidelines. Great spot to see it all go down. What a night that was. And then to be in the same spot a week later for the W vs Pick Central....

I was there. I think half of Hocking County was there. Agree. What a night that was. Chiefs was tough, and ready to play lights out! Very good squad, and well coached.

Couple questions for this one. Was this Joey Conrad’s senior season of football?? And what about Dale A. ? When I read trench say how well coached they were for this game im assuming he was still at the helm ??

County, Yes, I believe it was Conrad's senior year. And yes, Amyx was still the head Chief.

I was out of town that night and coming home I tuned in late 3rd quarter, if I remember right and it was 35 to less than 20 in favor of Logan and I about drove off the road. All week I had been hearing how good the other team was.

Yes, they were suppose to be one of the states best teams. We were a huge underdog going into this one. You know the story, big city team with all the all star players blah blah blah. Playing a bunch of hill-jacks from bum-!#%* nowhere that can barely spell futball and no teeth. I love it when a SEO school beats a big city team.

Yes - was Joey (and Johnny) Conrad's senior year.

And Amyx was coach at LHS from 1990-2009 - so this was right in the middle of his enure. From 1998-2009 Amyx won at least a share of the title 10 of 12 years in that stretch and had FOUR different 10-0 regular seasons.
