Re: SVC 2020
If a full 7 league games are played, here is my predictions.
Adena, return Sykes at Qb, very athletic and strong. Very good line anchored by Hurtt. Return several skill players, IMO are favored to win league.
Piketon, led by league leading passer Gullion at Qb, with without a doubt, the deepest and most experienced wide receiving Corp, led by Chandler, Burton, Loar, Fuller, Maynard and Potts. The defense for the Streaks will be improved, replacing Henderson on both sides of the ball will be the key for Piketon. IMO they will contend for the league.
Unioto, will take a hit losing Carroll, Little at Qb with experience will help get the ball to some athletic wide receivers. Like Piketon, must find a feature back.
Paint Valley, loses probably more at the skill position than any other team, but will have a Qb who can sling it, with solid offensive line.
Westfall, like the other 4 mentioned have a solid Qb, will have to see what the defense can do.
Zane Trace, new coach, but talent in younger grades. Solid coaching could make them a team to not overlook.
Southeastern, new coach, with Nusser, just not sure they will have the depth to contend with other teams.
Huntington, to be honest don’t know much about them.

Agreed that on paper Adena looks to be the favorite after having a solid season and returning many starters. Don’t count PV out, I assure you that they will finish better than 4th.
Re: SVC 2020
Looks pretty good! Piketon’s only real challenge this year should be Adena. I feel with no scrimmage season anything could happen those first 2-3 games tho and Unioto has Piketon and Adena weeks 1 and 2eagles73Taylor wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2020 1:47 pm If a full 7 league games are played, here is my predictions.

Adena should run away with the league this year

Re: SVC 2020
SVC will play the first 6 games as league games, the 7th can be picked up after playoffs, but will count as non league game.

Re: SVC 2020
Honestly if they decide to cancel the SVC season don’t think parents and kids will not just meet up at a park and strap on the helmets and play the games anyways. I watched my son play football for way to long to let this take it from him his final year. And I guarantee there are others in the league that agree. Maybe not everyone, but that’s ok they can stay home. We will play football without them.

Re: SVC 2020
Same as last few years. Numbers in low 30’s from what my son said. It’s crazy to think we had that many when they played biddy football. Hope everyone just stays healthy this year, every team not just us of course. Last year we were hurting with injuries bad, coupled with only having players in the low 30’s that’s hard to fight. But I’m sure it was same for all or at least most schools.
