Realignment Regions
So they’ve came out and said they will be realigning the divs. In my opinion they should not have regions this year. They need to wait until week 6. See what teams are going to compete then set regions. We can’t have these kids wearing a mask for 3 hours on a bus.

We drove 160 miles to watch Portsmouth play at ridgewood week 11. I couldn’t imagine that bus ride with a mask

Re: Realignment Regions
That's what they are doing. They are going to realign the regions after week 5 when they know who is and isn't participating in the playoffs.EasternDspy wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 10:47 pm So they’ve came out and said they will be realigning the divs. In my opinion they should not have regions this year. Yeah I think many won't play and the idea of saying "all" are eligible should be changed just a bit. To me a team should have at least 1-2 wins in order to be eligible to play, unless that school has postponed games until October which would mean they wouldn't have but a game under their belt. I think the bus ride is something that could be remedied but the coaches and schools would have to step up and allow the following to happen. Offer the bus ride as normal for any away game, but with the option should a parent want to they can take their kid to and from the game, must be in a caravan style trip to the game at least and no student drivers.
Another option would be to lower away game roster totals compared to what one might want to dress at home.

I think you are going to find that very very few opt NOT to play a playoff game.
Just a few things to think about.
You have to decide after week 3.
School gets to hang a banner they made the 2020 playoffs. Might be the only playoff banner for some schools.
Just face it, week 7 will have 2nd half running clocks all over the state like never before.
And lastly, we got the cart way before the horse on this one. Let's just first hope we get through week 1 and go from there.

That’s what’s best for business.

Those jokers from Berlin Hiland should make OHSAA football playoffs 2020 t-shirts, since every school has technically qualified for football playoffs already... not specifically every _team_.

Re: Realignment Regions
When we played them at Kirtland in 2012 they beat us pretty bad 49-7. In 2018 we played them in the final 4 lost 35-19. Had the ball in 4th with a chance to take the lead and threw a pick. It was a great game. Kirtland won state that year I think they beat Marion Local pretty bad.countywide35 wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2020 5:50 pmEasternDspy wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 11:12 pmFort Frye to Kirtland was pretty bad.Beergogglebluez wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 11:11 pm We drove 160 miles to watch Portsmouth play at ridgewood week 11.
