Raiderball, that's a telling article, but you don't have to worry about losing money to play in bowl games when you are a school like OSU!

No problem selling the tickets, and no problem getting the band to the game!

As for the big east's .500 record in BCS games, they've performed decently when they've went, but there are schools that deserve to go more. If the more deserving school would have went instead, that win % against the same opponents might be .800 right now!

I have the perfect solution for your thoughts/feelings on this topic.... create another division for SEC and Big 10 only. Have your own bowl games and crown your own national champion. I started to include Pac10 with you but every year I read how weak it is outside of a team or two (USC, Oregon).

I posted the records of wvu and louisville when they went. uc in the last 2 years was deserving of their chance to play. the only year that might be questioned would have been 04 when pitt made it with 8-3 record. i can remember fsu making it one year with worse record than that.

What's the story on Romeus(sp)?

What hasn't gone wrong for Greg this year is the question.First he hurts his back in the pre season and plays the first game v.Utah injured.After that he had back surgery and during that same time his Mother passes away.And to top that off in his return v.UConn last Thursday night he tore his ACL.He's done for the year....He was a special player the last two years and was primed to be even better this year.Brandon Lindsay has really filled in nicely in his place.

Saw the Pitt uni's when they came out but can't remember now. I remember thinking then I liked WVU and Pitt's as well as or better than most though. VT look like some pumpkins.

As far as the pro combat uni's go, I haven't seen them since before the beginning of the season when Nike first released them. IMO the ones for WVU were badass and i thought were the best of the bunch. However, that was when they were in rememberance of the coal miners and had the gray dust on the shoulders and etc. But if I remember right a group of idiots pitched a fit and claimed it was all in attempt to promote mountain top removal and Nike had to revise the uni's and have not seen them since so idk what they look like now. They were pretty awesome though and stood for something great IMO

The uni's didn't change. Only a poster with mountain top mining picture in the background was changed. I have that pick as my background. Will try and post it here.

If you were going to go alternate retro for WVU and you wanted to do something really interesting, you'd almost have to go beyond the Nehlen era since the helmets have been the same since Nehlen took over and the rest of the uniform was pretty simple under Nehlen - blue jerseys with flying WV's on the sleeves and gold pants with two blue stripes (or not stripes some years).
