Liberty Union has pretty solid line play, can run the football and has some tall receivers it can throw to. They'll make Ridgewood work for it, but the Generals are pretty good. Ridgewood 42-14.

From 0-10 to playoffs (this week is week 11 any other year.) Coach Shirey has done a great job.

This region is tougher than that. You’re going to see an upset somewhere.

Maybe Ready beating the burg next week that’s about the only one I can think of.

I agree. If burg beats ready which very well could happen then it’s ridgewood and burg. I don’t think burg can beat ridgewood. I’m wrong a lot but I think ridgewood is the 2nd best team in the region. But a burg ironton finals would be awesome too.

I’m right there with you Ridgewood running clocked burg last year. And in my opinion I think burg is a lot more bearable this year than they were last year. They don’t have a playmaker like that Mathews kid.

I agree Ready definitely is a strong opponent. Burg must play a good game to win but you’re completely wrong with your assessment about burg this year. They have a lot of offensive weapons and the lattimore kid is a stud. I’m pretty sure he Averages over 8yards a game. They are way better than last year. But you are blind ray. Lol.

I hope and think we’ll get to find out for sure on All Hallows’ eve... This Burg team is much much better than last years in my opinion...true there isn’t one playmaker as good as Matthews (yet) but overall the team is better and they play much better as a team.

The other thing I will say is didnt the burg give up over 250 yard on the ground to the oaks when they play. I was not impressed with the oaks last night at all. And in my opinion I don’t think the lattimore kid will have success on the woods defense plays right into their strength. But we will see also a good time to speculate and talk opinions.

I’m uncertain of the total rushing yards but I’m thinking they only had two long plays, one for the TD and another on the same play, other than that I don’t think they had a first down.

Oak hill is one dimensional and their pass defense had multiple holes. A recipe for easy wins for ridgewood and burg. The other posters are telling you the truth on the yard count. Oak hil snapped off two long runs in the first half. Caught burg napping on a couple of counters. There was no long sustained drives by the oaks at all. Burgs run defense is pretty good this year. Their pass defense is decent, better than last year, but they’ve got play above their heads should they play ridgewood. Burgs corners are really good but when they have to help out in the run game things get dicey. Burg played Waverly overall good, not great and Waverly has a potent QB and offense like wood. If wood and burg would meet up, the generals will have their hands full. It would be a great game. Lattimore isn’t a one man show. He only gets about 8 to 10 touches a game. Burg has more weapons plus he has a twin brother that’s smaller but he’s really good too.

Not saying that Burg is better than Ridgewood IMO its impossible to compare how teams played a common opponent. Hopefully they will decide that on the field Ridgewood is the #2 seed in the region for a reason they have a very good team and Burg is better than last year by how much I guess time will tell. I cant wait till Saturday finally get to watch the Bucks play and GO BURG
