West has played the harder schedule. Having burg 2 out of 3 weeks is rough. They beat Chesapeake who beat Portsmouth. I’m not sure if west plays the varsity or how they will do things since season is technically over but if they play the starters I think west wins this game.

It's a Varsity Game, but it is like JV that West plays so many Freshmen and Sophomores.

West has probably played the toughest schedule in the area playing in the SOCII and Wheelersburg again in the playoffs

Oh I know it’s a varsity game. I was thinking maybe some teams will play more of the young kids and look at next years teams since it really doesn’t matter if you win or lose. I agree west has played a brutal schedule and they are improving every week. I look for west to win by 10 or more. Trojans can’t stop the run and can west stop the pass. These 2 always play each other hard.

Portsmouth came out hot and once again showed they can’t stop the run ever. West’s halftime adjustments shut the Trojans down the 2nd half and won the game pretty easy. No matter how good of skill guys a team has if you have no lines to block it doesn’t matter. Every week Portsmouth’s line struggle to block. West will be really good the next couple years. I was impressed. Congrats on the win.

I agree they're gonna be really good next year and possibly contenders the year after if they continue to progress. Most of the starters on both sides are freshmen or sophomores.

Portsmouth has some skill and serious speed. Quarterback does a great job keeping the play alive and keeping his eyes downfield. They have the physical size to be competitive up front, they just lack physicality. West isn't the biggest, but they are aggressive and the backs run hard and that took a toll as the game went on.
