CG is my wife's alma mater. We watched them defeated MSML at Fawcett stadium in the state championship maybe 16 or 17 years ago. That was a very special team for Columbus Grove. I think their quest ends here against Coldwater.

Coldwater easy. Last time they faced a MAC team they lost by 48 points. They are ranked 60 spots behind Burg in which CW just destroyed. This will be no different

A little on the info side, CG has a good QB and RB but defense isn’t all that great. They’ve gave up 20+ and 30+ multiple times against teams that are nowhere in the ballpark as CW. The way this CW team has been playing, if they give up 20 to them, it’s probably ballgame. High powered Burg averaging 43.7 ppg, was held to 7 until second string came in. CG has been underdogs twice so far and pulled out a win, but as I said earlier, those teams weren’t CW. Anything can happen and that’s why the game is played, I honestly just don’t see it happening

I’ll be pull for nwc boys. Bulldogs have a solid run game and big wideout. Qb is big and has a nice arm. Idk how they can stop cold water but anything is possible. Stech will have them boys ready to go

1 point dog all the way up at D2. Just don’t see this team or anyone else beating them. I wish every team good luck though. It’s definitely an upset and a HUGE accomplishment if one of them does. We are dogs vs them also

I bet Calpreps didn’t have Marion local losing 31-7 to bishop waters on last year? Sometimes that site is close and sometimes it’s just purely bias to certain teams it seems like

I agree completely with that assessment on Calpreps. I would imagine Watterson was the favorite given it was D3 vs D7 and Watterson was a good team. Not sure by how much though. However, Calpreps in the trash, if CW plays like they have the last 2 games, no one touches them. I’d love to see Frye get their first or maybe even one of the other teams but CW is, in my opinion, going to have to beat themselves for that to happen

They didn’t win by as much as I thought they would. Figured it would be more but the game was never in question from start to finish

I typed in 2019 MSML VS Bishop Wattersin it had MSML winning 28-14 but they lost worst than what it said they would win by

Remember though, that is now taking into account the whole season. Those predictions change based on performance. Watterson went 7-3 not qualifying for the playoffs while MSML went 13-2 with a state title. It was the 2nd game of the season and both were 1-0. If projected back in week 2, without taking into account what hadn’t happened yet, my guess would be Watterson was the favorite. I can’t swear to that though. If you project Kirtland vs a team with a previous bad season week 1, then that team has a good season throughout and you project Kirtland vs that same team at the end of the year, you will get 2 different projections with the second projection more in favor of the other team

Lol guess I will have to wait until next year to see if they play a big school and try to predict it before they play

I would roll with your assessment of bias toward certain teams, the MAC in particular, but it’s usually because more often than not those teams win and are tough. I can’t say CW would hang with them or they are evenly matched but I can’t argue against that either. It would not surprise me one bit. Whether either of us win the next game or not, I would like to have one extra week and play CW just to see

That would be crazy to see an extra week of games where the champions play each other but having 7 divisions 1 team would be without a game

Yes that would be awesome! The way CW has been playing, I’d love to just see what happens. It has me curious now
