New Bremen is making their first ever state final game. 7 years ago they almost ended their program and was almost forced out of the MAC. They have had the hardest road to the state final out of any region in any division having faced St. Henry, Fort Loramie, Maria Stein Marion Local and Lima Central Catholic. Warren JFK has been here before and does have a state championship win over a MAC team defeating Minster 24-6 in the 2016 season. Are the big stage lights too bright for the newcomer, along with a team that has experienced it before, or does New Bremen win their first state title?

Agree. Gotta contain the run also, which they have been great at. JFK had a big win over Lucas then another good win last night to send them here so I’m sure they are feeling very confident right now. At the same time New Bremen has been underdogs every week in the hardest path in the playoffs but have yet to falter. I kinda wonder what toll that has taken on them but week after week they show up. I gotta go with NB in this one

Calpreps has JFK as 19 point underdogs but idk if I agree with that. I’d say NB is the favorite but I’m not sure about by 19 points. JFK is playing good

The key to JFK is Hollobaugh, the QB. You should defend his run first. Not a great passer and they throw little. Stop him and JFK can be had. NB is solid and I’d rate them as the favorite. This potentially is the best match up in the state finals.

I would agree here. The QB is dangerous if not contained. I think this has the potential for a great game as well. NB and LCC last night was an instant classic

It does seem that way. You never know which team it’s going to be either. Fort Recovery won theirs out of nowhere, Anna last year out of nowhere and now New Bremen this year out of nowhere. The conference schedule they play prepares these teams all year long. Parkway is the only team left and that entire conference will have football titles

I beat you by 1 1/2 hours on my original post the same day. When he got taken out of the game, the announcers referred to him being injured. No, he was frustrated and hurt by the team play at that point. The kid took a beating with no help today.

Other than the 1 INT, it was a flawless game by them. 0 penalties. That’s what MAC teams are notorious for. Clean games. So happy for them
