Re: Best team in the nation?
The Bucks are as good as anybody.
Like football, it will just be a debate because even after the smoke clears we can still debate it. The best team doesn't always win on a nightly basis much less win the dance. March should be a lot of fun this year. This year seems like a lot of parody but I have seen several teams that are capable of winning whereas last year too many of the good teams were streaky and not as rounded as they needed to be. Duke, Pitt, Texas, Wisky, OSU, Kansas (?), UConn, are all better teams than what we had last year at this point in the season. Duke was the only team last year with the total package. Not so much with this year's bunch. I love college ball!

Re: Best team in the nation?
anyone of those teams can beat the other on any given night
the championship will depend on what teams have to play each other in their brackets

I wish I could say it was the Buckeyes, but IMO, if they were to play Kansas right now, they would get their arse handed to them. I believe that OSU has the talent to beat any of the top 5 teams, but #2 and #3 are playing better ball right now.

I don't know...I just have the feeling this OSU team can do what is necessary to win when it needs to. I really like our coach! It's just a matter of time until he delivers a National Championship!

Re: Best team in the nation?
There have been a lot of years where the best team did not win the title.
91 Was Duke better than UNLV?
85 Villanova better than Georgetown?
83 NC State better than Houston?
Over the course of the season I think anyone would say no. If they played 10 times UNLV, Georgetown and Houston probably win at least 8 of 10 times BUT..... the underdogs only had to win one time.
Hard to pick one team to win it all this year but Kansas, Texas, OSU, Wisc, Duke and Pitt might be my top choices BUT.... don't count out UConn, Georgetown or Syracuse. Syracuse might have had their slide at the right time. Get it out of the way and then get hot.

Re: Best team in the nation?
I don't have a lot of faith in Big East teams once the tourny rolls around.
Everyone can drool over them during the regular season, but I am not buying.
