I lived in Raleigh-Durham for three years recently and OSU was viewed in a very different light down there. They were constantly getting the "they choke" in big games or vs SEC teams treatment. I had friends from law school from all over the country who have visited OSU (one particular from Texas) who say they are the worst fans they have ever come across (something I already knew). BUt whatever you say since you have lived everywhere.
I have heard this same argument about archaic rules, and how the NCAA is so behind the times before. You know who I hear this from, USC fans, and SEC school fans, and now Ohio State fans. It is funny once you get caught then it is "everyone else" is behind the times, and this is happening everywhere but we just got caught. The NCAA needs to look at things differently because this is happening and just get on board. Translation---we are scuzzy and break the rules but we win and everyone should get on board with the way WE choose to do things because it works for us. Despite the fact many of these kids are essentially getting 60+ thousand over four years (room and board, tuition, books, meals, rent paid, etc), we should give them more. News flash, your company is probably making millions and you are part of it, you don't get paid more then you are worth just because someone else is making money.
News flash---Miami is a small private school too. Not anything like OSU in terms of size. and why are you complaining about Miami? The NCAA hasn't even ruled on the case or began their investigation. It takes time. But it must be another NCAA v BTN conspiracy.
Well they sure werent know for the "choke" coming at the end of November, were they Peake?
Does anyone remember a scandal at Michigan called the Fab 5? Does a 6 year investigation, over half a million dollars to players, illegal gambling operations and a federal grand jury ring a bell?
Of course Michigan has been squeaky clean since then, right? Wrong!
OSU fans are surely looked at differently in different areas of the country? That is a big surprise!
And, in place of dazed&confused, I will gladly say that today is August 31, 2011. It has now officially been 2839 days since Michigan last beat Ohio State in football.
Go Bucks.
