To get throttled in the State Championship game you have to at least get there , the first game was a pretty good game though.

Team from California has the overall record in the area of 150 without a loss. They are still good but they drop on the average of two a year now.

Not sure who Kirkland is, but Kirtland has had a great run.

Kirtland is one of the great football programs in Ohio, and fits the definition of dynasty. They've won the state title in different divisions, in fact, moved up a division in beating Ironton. It will be a surprise if the Hornets don't at least make it to the state championship game this season.

Going back to streaks, Ironton had a 77 game regular season unbeaten streak from the late 70's to 1984. There was a tie in there somewhere but Portsmouth in 1984 ended the streak with a 19-10 win at Portsmouth.

Ur right dave. Ironton was tough in 84 with a lot of D-I players but Portsmouth had them 19-0 late in 4th gave them a safety to run clock but Ironton got the ball and scored if I remember right.
