West comes out flinging the ball, 43 yard pass. Momentum is swinging, Portsmouth has to get something clicking or this lead will evaporate quick

I can’t believe the Trojans have only gave up 10 points in 2 games. West had a lot of turnovers but Portsmouth’s defense gs looked better. Other than the last drive where roe ran a lot I think Portsmouth needs to work on offense. The line needs work and no running game tonight. congrats to Portsmouth I’m really impressed with the defense

Congrats Trojans on your big win over Portsmouth West. I think your defense so far this year has surprised about everyone.

Trojans defense keeps playing like this and we could have an interesting season on our hands..specially with the expanded playoffs. Once the offense consistently plays to their true potential I think this team will start to surprise a lot of people

Hats off to the Trojans, especially the defense. In the backfield all night and made the big stops, when they had to be made. You win the turnover battle, you usually win games.

I try my best not to be negative, but im really disappointed 2 games in. To start, 3 fumbles in the first half is unexcuscable. Im not calling for people's head, but the product on the field is not living up to the talent that is there. They look completely unmotivated and plain. And I know it's easy to be a bleacher coach. But some of these situations that I seen tonight just had people looking at each other like why? Two off of the top of my head. We are on our own goal line. And we run a reverse 5 yards backwards into our own endzone with a kid that is scared to get hit. He's lucky he got just enough but terrible thought. This was the play before leading up to that. 4th and long with their QB back there, who quick kicks it if he doesn't see anything develop. We have an assistant coach scream and take one of our corners off of a receiver to get back in punt return, leaving the receiver wide open. If the QB sees this, it's a touchdown. Luckily he doesn't see it.. He kicks it and then we let it roll 20 yards to the goal line.. Completely negating the point of sticking the return man back. I seen all kinds of head scratchers in just 8 quarters so far. They have the talent to compete with anyone on this schedule. 4th quarter, 2 tries to get it half a yard and make it a one score game. Can't get it in. That sums it up.

Would’ve been a good year to see Portsmouth vs Wheelersburg

Still might see it come playoff time. Gotta think Portsmouth/Burg series will get started up again at some point, just don’t know when.

As for this game, not too many people expected West to be 0-2 at this point. Their last coach was better than people gave him credit for, and with a new coach, there going to be a learning curve. Better figure it out quick though or they looking at a 5-5 type season.*

He's good enough D1 schools wanted him in Cincinnati and Dayton, but apparently in West Portsmouth he didn't know what he was doing. Idk that's just what they say.

His biggest problem for a lot of fans there was that he wasn’t Trevon Pendleton. Sometimes people don’t appreciate what they have until it’s gone.*

I'm not knocking the new coach at all, but before the season began I thought losing Johnson may hurt them a little. I felt he was a good coach who came from a winning program. He did a lot to change the culture at west. Good luck to both PHS and west going forward and congrats to PHS on the win.

34-7 Lose by 27

West driving to score to open the game. Fumble. Probably 7 points as they were easily moving the ball on the ground

Fumble return for touchdown. Another gift 7 - 14 points

Fumble on their 1 ready to score. -7. —21 points

First and goal at 1. Stopped. Aided by BS aiding the runner penalty-7. 28 points

Interception returned for TD. -7. 35 points

Is that right? The defense gave up 20. You should win against this Portsmouth team when you give up 20. But you can’t have 4 bad turnovers

West is too good to start 0-2 I hope you guys get it figured out. Portsmouth struggled to move the ball almost 3 quarters but west turnovers put the Trojans in good spots. last quarter Portsmouth had the ball 99% of the time and west was exhausted.
