Alexander was 9-1 in 2015 during the regular season. Lost to Chesapeake 9-3 at Peake.

I say young pups by 8.
They now have two weeks together and a game together under their belt. Let’s start league play with win.

Athens has not done one single thing to make me believe they have the ability to win this game. There are to many freshman on the field, this will make Athens better in the future but just not there yet. Good luck to both teams!

Athens shown that they can move the ball at Maretta and they are a whole different team with Landon back at QB. The run defence will need to improve and will need to force stops in order to allow the offence to win games.Bulldog84 wrote: Wed Sep 08, 2021 9:50 am Athens has not done one single thing to make me believe they have the ability to win this game. Alexander has beaten two bad teams. Athens has lost to two good teams and one mediocre team in OT. Athens is the pick.

Marietta had 10 players out. They were not what I'd even consider mediocre last Friday. If you can't tackle, you can't tackle and that is Athens big issue right now. It will be a huge problem no matter who they play are playing, good or bad.

I stand by my pick. But kudos to Marietta for nutting up and still playing the game with that many out. That's what NY is doing too, and Athens did earlier in the season. Even Fed Hock did it. Too bad it isn't the whole county though, but 3 out of 4 of those who have had the same issue ain't bad.93Bulldog wrote: Wed Sep 08, 2021 1:02 pm Marietta had 10 players out. Tackling is a want skill. Whether freshman or senior. Hopefully tne want will grow with a county opponent. Otherwise just try to out score I guess.93Bulldog wrote: Wed Sep 08, 2021 1:02 pm Marietta had 10 players out. They were not what I'd even consider mediocre last Friday. While I agree with that to some point, how coaches practice, how kids are developed during their time in program also factors in.Older bird wrote: Wed Sep 08, 2021 2:41 pmTackling is a want skill.
