Update on New league.

Looks like a new league with Warren , Marietta , Fort Frye , and Point Pleasant will be starting winter of 22. The hope is to add 2-4 more teams in the future.

That's good news. You're athletes deserve to be in a league. I truly wish the TVC would add FF and Warren, but fear of facing better competition is keeping the majority from voting for it. It is really the TVC's loss not to do so IMO.

The only ones scared are VC and Alexander. If you get those two on board you can get the rest.

Alexander voted yes last time. VC , River Valley , Wellston and South Gallia voted no.

I would be fine with the TVC adding all four. Why does Point Pleasant want to leave their league? I thought the reason they left the SEOAL in the early 2000s was because they wanted to be in a West Virginia league.

Hopefully they join the TVC. Three leagues for football and two leagues for the other sports

Point was in the WV Cardinal Conference and I guess their issues there was travel (up to three hour oneway road trips) and they kept flirting with AAA enrollment status which was a conference disqualifier for members. They did reapply but were turned down in 2015. Like Logan Ohio, they are a large school (by WV standards) on a geographic island.

Those are long drives for point pleasant and gallia academy. Longer than the OVC. Especially if they ever finish the Chesapeake/Proctorville bypass and the crown city/barboursville bridge.
