Carrico will play on special teams and get some situational defensive snaps at LB. He will have the opportunity to make positive contributions.

Yes he will. He’s in great position. God forbid one guys down. He’s up. Or close to it. I think we will see more of this guy as the season progresses. He will make the most of his chances.

I haven’t checked the Spread since it was 17.5. Is that still accurate ??

Last I saw, the spread was down to OSU - 17. Again, I think that is more about the Vegas bookmakers trying to shift betting dollars so they keep their profit margin.countywide35 wrote: Wed Aug 31, 2022 9:34 am I haven’t checked the Spread since it was 17.5. Is that still accurate ??
Statistical cfb rating sites like Sagarin have the Buckeyes as 8 point favorites which probably more reasonable than 17.

17 just seems so high to me but like you say. A number that’s irrelevant to the game itself.

I agree. At first I thought it was a wide margin but I think of how prolific this OSU offense should be, the amount of points they SHOULD score every game, and it just comes down to if the defense can provide stops. If the defense can, 17 seems about right.countywide35 wrote: Wed Aug 31, 2022 3:03 pmOmega wrote: Wed Aug 31, 2022 9:55 amLast I saw, the spread was down to OSU - 17. I wouldnt be surprised if OSU wins by 20+ and I wouldnt be surprised to see a very close game. Too early to tell but luckily it all starts in 2 days! I have good seats this season so I am ready

I read that if he doesn't start he'll be on the 2 deep at worstgobucs20 wrote: Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:58 pm Has anyone heard if Reid Carrico is expected to see playing time this year. Heard lot of talk about him in the spring but nothing from fall camp.

I see Eichenburg getting replaced before Chambers. But Chambers plays so dang fast and hard it would likely him to get injured out of the Mike and Will group of LBsBagger Vance wrote: Thu Sep 01, 2022 10:47 amI read that if he doesn't start he'll be on the 2 deep at worstgobucs20 wrote: Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:58 pm Has anyone heard if Reid Carrico is expected to see playing time this year. Last pregame thoughts is that a Buckeye win by any margin will be a good win. Bucks 38-28!

There's a good chance you may get your wish, 9 1/2.

No way inches! Bucks barely break a sweat and N-D is probably a little overrated. 35-14

Do not know if ND will derail the Bucks, but watching Michigan vs Colorado State should give State fans some pause. The Wolves look solid in all phases of the game.

Yep, I've been watching it. The Blue looks pretty strong, but the question is against Colorado State?Omega wrote: Sat Sep 03, 2022 1:40 pmDo not know if ND will derail the Bucks, but watching Michigan vs Colorado State should give State fans some pause. Ole AA can beg to differ all he wants! It won't change his team's butt-kicking tonight! If I'm wrong I'll go out to his house so LA can cook me up some bitter crow. Wonder who MJ is rooting for tonight? Thought you said she will jump on the N-D bandwagon because AA likes them. I agree about inches team. They looked good but CS is normally terrible!

Maybe that was the Dukies basketball you were telling me about her jumping on the bandwagon.
Re: #5 Notre Dame (0-0) vs. #2 Ohio State (0-0) September 3rd, 2022
WR Julian Fleming is listed as doubtful for OSU vs. Notre Dame. Should not be a problem as Emeka Egbuka would be next man up.
