Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
Coal grove seems to be improved this year. They roll in this game. Hall may have another 400 yard game

Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
They'll use this game as another game to pad the stats before they start hitting the harder games, CG with a running clock.
Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
What kind of stats are you talking about padding if your talking about Chase’s you evidently haven’t seen him play cause he’s going to get his yards against anyone he plays against. The kid is a Beast and everyone knows it. So if your talking about Gallia,Ironton, and Fairland stopping him they might slow him down but I don’t see them stopping him completely considering he did have over 220 yards on Gallia last year and over 130 on Irontongreygoose wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:04 am They'll use this game as another game to pad the stats before they start hitting the harder games, CG with a running clock.
Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
Pretty self explanatory really, kid is a beast but there's a HUGE difference when some hop on here and say he might have another 400 yard game against a Chesapeake team. Then at the end of your statement you say he went for over 130 against Ironton last year, you do see the difference there right?? 400--130?? Kids great but I'm not going to sit here and say, "oh they haven't been adding to those stats with who they've played". You can look at the stats vs the game vs the score and see that, it's not a big deal, some people get upset over the truth and I simply don't understand why maybe you're not being honest. It's not like they've had these close games all season to where he'd need to be putting up huge numbers. Facts are staring right at you, did I say he was a bad player, nope heck of a ball player and hard nosed runner but coaches and players all around use certain games to pad a guys stats and that's what will happen this week. Every team does it, nothing to be bitter about if it's the truth.Team ovc wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:18 amWhat kind of stats are you talking about padding if your talking about Chase’s you evidently haven’t seen him play cause he’s going to get his yards against anyone he plays against. Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
If I’m correct the Berne game he had over 200 yards on 12 carries wonder why they didn’t use that game to “pad stats” then you look at the valley game which was close into the 3rd quarter he had over 200 in that game the Meigs game was 42-34 at halftime so I guess he probably shouldn’t have carried the ball in that game to get around 400 yards now last night he probably should have been took out after the 3rd quarter but I don’t see playing one series in the 4th is “padding stats”so maybe the facts are staring you in the face but you don’t like seeing young men excell so you want to make accusations of “padding stats” And then you want to act like 130 plus yards wasn’t a good game against a great Ironton defense last year yea 130 isn’t 400 but 130 against Ironton is impressivegreygoose wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:32 amPretty self explanatory really, kid is a beast but there's a HUGE difference when some hop on here and say he might have another 400 yard game against a Chesapeake team. Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
Not a parent of any one on this team my kids have been out of school for a few years just want to give this kid credit for what he’s doing idc who he’s playing against 1000 yards in 4 games is impressive and I don’t think that I ever mentioned him getting 400 against Chesapeakegreygoose wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 11:39 amTeam ovc wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:43 amIf I’m correct the Berne game he had over 200 yards on 12 carries wonder why they didn’t use that game to “pad stats” then you look at the valley game which was close into the 3rd quarter he had over 200 in that game the Meigs game was 42-34 at halftime so I guess he probably shouldn’t have carried the ball in that game to get around 400 yards now last night he probably should have been took out after the 3rd quarter but I don’t see playing one series in the 4th is “padding stats”so maybe the facts are staring you in the face but you don’t like seeing young men excell so you want to make accusations of “padding stats” And then you want to act like 130 plus yards wasn’t a good game against a great Ironton defense last year yea 130 isn’t 400 but 130 against Ironton is impressivegreygoose wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:32 am

Must've hit a nerve, padding the stats is much more than simply saying out there or not out there. What were the other backs stats in the game?? I mean if they're distributing the ball evenly then he can't help but just racking it up that way. See how bent out of shape you are over it, you think the kid has a choice in the matter heck no it's the coaches calling the plays. They choose rather or not they want to pad the stats, 31 carries against Valley, facts are you're looking at 1 player I want to know what the rest are doing. Yeah it really bothers me to see him excel, that's why I said he's a monster of a back and he's having a heck of season thus far, chesapeake is yet another bad team that he'll be able to run those stats up does that sound better?? It's ok dad I'm glad you took offense to it, you read into what you want man but if you can grasp a 400 yard game vs getting 130 when looking at ones totals at the end I guess math wasn't your strong point. It's all good man some just don't get it.
Re: WK5 Chesapeake - Coal Grove
Going back to week one it looks as if Coal Grove has almost 1600 yards on 170 carries so hall has 100 carries and the other 2 backs have 70 with 550 yards looks like they have one who is on pace for a 900 yard season and a freshman who is on pace for 600 looks like there not trying to pad anyone stats by the actual stats through 4 gamesgreygoose wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 11:39 amTeam ovc wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:43 amIf I’m correct the Berne game he had over 200 yards on 12 carries wonder why they didn’t use that game to “pad stats” then you look at the valley game which was close into the 3rd quarter he had over 200 in that game the Meigs game was 42-34 at halftime so I guess he probably shouldn’t have carried the ball in that game to get around 400 yards now last night he probably should have been took out after the 3rd quarter but I don’t see playing one series in the 4th is “padding stats”so maybe the facts are staring you in the face but you don’t like seeing young men excell so you want to make accusations of “padding stats” And then you want to act like 130 plus yards wasn’t a good game against a great Ironton defense last year yea 130 isn’t 400 but 130 against Ironton is impressivegreygoose wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:32 am

That is awesome, I hope the young man can keep it up. I think you simply misunderstood my statement of padding stats it was simply directed at the fact Chesapeake isn't going to give much push and let's face it it's a lot easier breaking off the larger runs against these teams.
