Week 5 already? What we've learned.....

Its already week 5 in high school football and that seemed to go by quick! As we reach the half way point this Friday some things have surprised and some havent: What do you think and what surprises have you come across?

So Far:
- Trimble being winless??? Well they are young and their opponents are a combined 15-5 (including this week)
- Eastern being 4-0??? The Eagles made the playoffs last year in a weird season but in 2022 have looked very good
- What the heck is the deal at Wellston?? They have had more coaches in the season that I have changed my sheets!!?! They need someone to commit to the program long term.
- The TVC Ohio?? Who wants to win this thing? Teams are a combined 10-18 over all and it could be a league championship game on 10/7 in Buchtel between Alex (3-1) and NY (3-1)
- Gallia Academy - 4-0 after a questionable coaching change and some off season scuttlebutt; the Blue Devils have come out hot (see what I did there?) and they have the meat of their schedule yet to play with Fairland (3-1), Coal Grove (4-0) and Ironton (4-0) yet to come!
- Fort Frye??? Not surprising the Cadets are 4-0, more surprising the longevity of their run has been!! This team this year is stacked. Could it be the end of a long line of winning after 2022??

Teams that should be 5-0 after Friday!?!?

Athens 0-4- They need more Burrows and twin WR's
Logan 1-3- Chiefs havent had a winning season since 2015? Logan went 86-24 from 2000-2009 and 39-79 since 2010!!?
Jackson 2-2 Still a power program despite the record
Marietta 1-3
Belpre 0-3 and not fun
Federal Hocking (n/a) but once a playoff team in 2006!! 7-3 in 2008, 6-4 in 2012. From 2015 - 2018 0-39???
Lancaster 0-4- coaching change hasnt produced results
Crooksville 0-4- new field same results
