Agreed and Absolutely. Burg has all those things going for them.
They would compete in any conference realignment situation.

Valley was able to compete and win consistently in conference thru the 2010’s.
But we had 25% more students than we do.

We’ve always had great coaching here. It’s simply that the numbers have fallen off.

Good luck next week

Plus, Perkins would have been the stud workhorse for Valley this year and he would have made a huge difference this year!!!

Also, didn’t Glover start at Burg then go to Valley then back to Burg?? Add both of those two to what you have and Valley is competing for the SOC and making some noise in the playoffs this year!!!

Valley also lost Metzler to notre dame and Duncan to Portsmouth.

Valleys numbers will improve. All their athletes are playing sports. Not too many kids walking the hallways that would help the football team. I can only think of one athlete in particular that would help the football team. But all the kids that can play, play something.

Valley lost 4 really good players as noted above....those kids would have absolutely made a difference, but it is what it is.

Really impressed with Valley’s effort last night. I was worried about them after the Waverly game, but the coaching staff has those kids playing hard and competing. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they knock off Minford next week.

As for Burg, they playing for another SOC championship next week. The passing game wasn't hitting last night after showing signs of life the week before. I look for them to come out ready next week and bring home another league crown. Still think this team can win a Regional Championship if/when they’re firing on all cylinders.*

I appreciate the way Valley kids compete. Very commendable.
