The voting for that is a total joke. When carrico did not win that 2 years ago I knew it was a complete and total farce

What is political about this list? Say it out loud.GalliaGrad78 wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 7:27 pm When anything is decided by sportswriters, politics rules the day.

Interesting some of those D1 guys won player of year for their conference and I'm assuming that's why they were on the list but looking at the stats I'm not overwhelmed by it. Couple RBs on there are absolute studs, I know he was a semi-finalist but not sure how Drew Novak was left off of the list, 4,200 yards and 35 tds to go with 1,200 yards rushing and 20 tds.

Those are huge numbers compared to the others on the list. There seems to be a case to be made for him as a finalistgreygoose wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:37 pm Interesting some of those D1 guys won player of year for their conference and I'm assuming that's why they were on the list but looking at the stats I'm not overwhelmed by it. Yeah, it's really a shame you want to know the kicker for the young man, that was his season numbers for 2022. His 2021 numbers see him break Joe Burrow's passing record last year, kid passes for 5,269 yards 56 tds, rushes for another 1,200 and 21 tds. He's got far and away better stats than either QB listedFIDO wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 2:46 amThose are huge numbers compared to the others on the list. I thought the same thing about Novak.greygoose wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:37 pm Interesting some of those D1 guys won player of year for their conference and I'm assuming that's why they were on the list but looking at the stats I'm not overwhelmed by it. Doesn't look like it, honestly at this point he'll probably have to go smaller college and work on what he needs to get ironed out and then maybe move on if he proves he can play at that level. Only real thing I can knock on him is one is size, but colleges can put that on, but the other would be arm strength he's a very accurate QB and sees the field well but he doesn't have that big arm needed to just rip it.
Re: Ohio Mr. Football Finalists Announced by OPSWA
Very tough for a SEO player to have a real shot at winning this award, without just putting up crazy type of numbers and still then getting writers to actually know these players is hard. As I pointed out about Novak being left off of the list this year, you look at his 2021 numbers of 6,500 total yards and 77 tds and he's closer to the cincy area and he didn't win it.Beergogglebluez wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 11:23 amI went to the ironton vs roger bacon game and Carrico was way better then kiner who won it that year.gobucs20 wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:36 pm The voting for that is a total joke. We both know why he won't but this makes about the 3rd or so consecutive week a poster on seops made this type of comment. Not that its shocking at all. If you know, you know. Never really becomes less disgusting. SmhIronman92 wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 8:31 pmI’d rather he type it.FightingTiger99 wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 7:41 pmWhat is political about this list? Carrico was D5 Southeastern District Offensive & Defensive Player of the Year and outplayed Kiner head to head.Beergogglebluez wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 11:23 amI went to the ironton vs roger bacon game and Carrico was way better then kiner who won it that year.gobucs20 wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:36 pm The voting for that is a total joke.
