D'BACKS @ REDS TODAY CUETO'S FIRST START
Coming off a HUGE win in great fashion, the Reds are up on the D'Backs 3-0 in the bottom half of the fifth. The thing that puts a smile on my face is Cueto has got a no-hitter going. And it is his first start!!! This guy is the real deal. Keep it up. Go REDS !!

So much for the no hitter. He just gave up a run. But, the score is 3-1 in favor of the Reds.

Wow! Cueto really showed up at the ballpark today. Nice to see the Reds get a big win to. It is early but, it looks like the comparisons that Cueto is getting to a young Pedro Martinez are certainly true. Hopefully, like Grizzly said, it will be a sign of things to come.

just saw on ESPN that he is the first pitcher since 1900 to strike out 10 and Walk 0 in his MLB debut

Fantastic first game! He should have a very bright career ahead of him.

Guys, dont look so much into his first start...
A lot of players do well in their first start because of lack of scouting reports, film, etc.
Wait until July to evaluate the kid...Let him get 12 or so starts in...Also, the Reds will probably just trade him away like they do all other good prospects

AHHHHHHHH YES..........fightintigers45, with that positive approach, you are what I call my favorite type of Reds fan.....FULL of hope and positive comments!
SOOOO, everyone take fightintigers45's approach, and if Volquez is impressive on Sunday, DO NOT say "good job" or "great game" or ANYTHING positive!! BUT, JMO!

Not a Reds fan at all...But what I am saying is right
You can say great job all you want, but dont say he has a fantastic career ahead of him...He probably does, but saying that after one start isnt a good thing to do

Whats wrong with being optimistic ??...He pitched a wail of a game again last night to. He had 8 stikeouts. Yes, he did give up a home run but the Reds did a poor job of providing any run support.
