Should the Reds Take a Chance on ....
Mike Piazza
Internet rumors say that the Reds are looking for a right handed bat to help in the line up. Lord knows they need it. Their right handers are Norris Hopper, Ryan Freel and Juan Castro who had a whopping 3 homeruns last year.
Should the reds take a chance on the aging Mike Piazza?

....eeeeh, i dunno. if they're gonna take a chance i'd rather them take a chance on a young guy who has his whole career ahead of him if he turns out to be good. if piazza does good for the reds, retirement is still in the not-so-distant future for him.

No
I read an article in the Times about the indians maybe bringing in Lofton or Bonds for some batting boost maybe the reds should consider some thing like that get someone no one wants because of steriod stuff.

I think that Lofton would bring a much needed bat to this lineup. Piazza is a risky chance to take but, he would give us a boost this season. But after this season, who knows what he will be able to do.

Honestly I am all for Piazza coming to Cincinnati.
Is Jay Bruce left or Right handed?

As long as he doesn't insist on catching. It's been about 5 years since he threw a runner out. Heck, I could steal a base on him!

Here's an idea. How about Griffey, Dunn and Encarnacion do their darn job. If these 3 aren't going to produce, get them the heck out of Cincy!

Give him a 1 year deal and see what he does. Couldnt hurt them none!!

well, I think it's safe to say that Griffey, after this year, won't be a Red next year.

Frank Thomas now available, but it is safe to say that he probably can't play the field
