The Pittsburgh Steelers Draft Picks

Post by TrojanXplosion »

Being a HUGE Steelers fan, I was more than excited with what the Steelers got in this draft. The Steelers picked up a really good running back in Rashard Mendenhall. Rashard will give the Steelers a nice one-two punch at the running game, and will give Willie Parker some rest in the games. Another weapon that Pittsburgh got was Limas Sweed. He will be another target for "Big Ben" to throw to. They picked up a good linebacker in Davis, and also got a much needed o-lineman in Tony Hills. One of the big suprises to me was that we also got Dennis Dixon. Now I know, he won't get any snaps at quarterback but, I see the Steelers turning Dixon into a wide out. Just like they did with Hines Ward and Antwann Randel El. Because remember, both Ward and Randel El were quaterbacks in school. Dennis Dixon certainly has more than enough speed to become a deep threat in the passing game. I'm really looking forward to seeing these guys playing with the Steelers next year. Should be fun to whatch.

I do not like P-Burgh at all but their draft was one of the best.

I think rookie back will make Parker a better back, I think he will push him big time for playing time.

I thing the rookie will be the short yardage back all season long.

I think steelers did very well in draft. AFC North is getting very good.

They did very well in the draft but they needed to beef up the offensive line more. Ben spent too much time looking at the sky last season.
