The New O.C.A.C "Super Conference"
https://www.nbc4i.com/sports/central-ca ... e-in-2026/
"Catholic super league" combining Columbus and Northeast Ohio schools. I believe it will be an 8 team conference.
"Participating schools will include three from Franklin County – DeSales, Hartley, and Watterson. They will join five northeast Ohio schools, including Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary, Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joseph, Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit, Youngstown Cardinal Mooney and Youngstown Ursuline."

Still holding onto the seo fear of the private schools? Lol
Interesting but not surprising. I'd rather try to beat em instead of pullin a Jay Lucas and whining, crying and stompin over competition. But i get the softer seo defeatist attitude. I get it. But still think its weak.
Why afraid of em? Should welcome the challenge always.
Re: The New O.C.A.C "Super Conference"
There should not even be any private versus public debate anymore . Open enrollment leveled that playing field.TigerBlood00 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 6:33 pmStill holding onto the seo fear of the private schools? Lol

Love private schools , it’s where the best and brightest minds can excel without fear of insulting those who aren’t as smart. Schools can focus on actual teaching and not some liberal agenda. We need more private schools !TigerBlood00 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 6:33 pmStill holding onto the seo fear of the private schools? Lol

You’d be surprised at the rate of private school alumni who become the exact thing you criticize.Larry Fine wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 8:49 pmLove private schools , it’s where the best and brightest minds can excel without fear of insulting those who aren’t as smart. Most educated folks from larger areas arent conservative leaning politically. These small towners are sheltered and have a tendency to believe they represent some kinda majority and they just dont. Ever. Except in their lil sheltered rural towns.formerfcfan wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 9:46 pmYou’d be surprised at the rate of private school alumni who become the exact thing you criticize.Larry Fine wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 8:49 pmLove private schools , it’s where the best and brightest minds can excel without fear of insulting those who aren’t as smart. Private schools offer a chance for the brightest and best to flourish and not be pulled down by the bottom feeders with some woke agenda .TigerBlood00 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 10:24 pmMost educated folks from larger areas arent conservative leaning politically. In my northern virginia location. Lotta military families. Mostly what the neck beards in seo would call "woke" or "liberal" which I think means not having a gut that hangs over ya waist by 35 and being able to go get a coffee at a coffee shop without worryin if they say merry xmas or happy holidaysformerfcfan wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 10:58 pmLarry Fine wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 10:46 pmPrivate schools offer a chance for the brightest and best to flourish and not be pulled down by the bottom feeders with some woke agenda .TigerBlood00 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 10:24 pm

I can assure you my class of 60 at Catholic high school in one of Ohio’s most conservative towns has a higher raw number of ‘woke’ graduates than what the public high school 15 minutes to the east churned out, despite the latter having 3x as many students. Just like it was the classes above me and below me.
Stupid.
Leave ya politics out of this thread. You dont even have an airport or authentic mexican or chinese food and travel is gatlinburg or myrtle beach. The world knowledge in seo isnt something to emulate.

What I’ll say is that where you live is a place that I think only a foolish parent would disapprove of their future adult children living. Doesn’t really matter if it’s on the MD or VA side. Really solid place all around, tremendous place to raise a family. Incredible quality of public education, be it in MoCo or Howard County in MD, or NoVA.TigerBlood00 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 11:55 pmIn my northern virginia location. Lotta military families. Sounds like my fellow Tiger fan is a snowflake who is triggered by private schools / academies that don’t cater to the lowest denominator.TigerBlood00 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 11:55 pmIn my northern virginia location. Loudon county Va to be exact. Some of the best public and private schools in the entire nation. One of the coolest things is when ya kids are "walk them to the bus stop age" and you see the tradition of professional parents walking down to the bus stop before work and THEN you observe all the kids talking and how on ANY given day there maybe be 3 or 4 languages being spoken on the bus stop. Most people are bilingual or more here. Including the children. Its also nice to observe how active and healthy and physically fit we all are here. Very good place to raise kids. I have two. My son is now 22 and a lineman for.power company and my daughter is finishing undergrad at WVU and headed to med school. I would NEVER bring children to southern ohio to raise. Ironton is my place of birth and i have many fond childhood memories, but no thanks. There is just no value.formerfcfan wrote: Thu Jul 11, 2024 12:34 amWhat I’ll say is that where you live is a place that I think only a foolish parent would disapprove of their future adult children living. And dont get me started on the people in seo. Very negative and they hate one another. Anytime i contact anyone back in seo it is a GUARANTEE they will start gossiping and disparaging one of their neighbors. Lol..its money every single time. Ya'll HATE each other. Lol. Everybody here is busy being productive. Not alotta effort put into pulling each other down. And then also, people in seo are very unhealthy. Obesity. Addiction. Etc. Just poor life habits. Not what you would call an area with much opportunity. Its more an area you are fortunate if you escape and do not slip through the cracks. Also seo is BROKE. They dont really have much ambition and that results in not much resource.
And then, the people in seo are just not very intelligent or aware of the world around them so they bring a very limited and often ignorant world view with em to the function.
My location in Loudon County Va ( nova) is why I often laugh when I see Wheelersburg fans on this site brag about their "culture" & academics.

The reason that area leans left is because it is dependent on big government. The area is a prime example of what corporate welfare buys you. Nothing of value is produced in that area, just benefits from big government that takes from the areas of the country that do produce value.
As for corporate America, I’ve spent decades working with execs at some of the largest corporations. These leaders tend to lean conservative. Why? Because they are results oriented. Similar to why most college/pro football coaches lean conservative. All about results!

The lowest denominator is southeastohio. Obese. Addicted. Undereducated. Poor. Lazy. Ignorant. I’ve spent time in that area, so you can’t BS me. I know why that area has grown. I know where the money comes from. It is fueled by the debt ridden federal government.TigerBlood00 wrote: Thu Jul 11, 2024 12:29 pmLoudon county Va to be exact. Some of the best public and private schools in the entire nation. As for the average income, many in my class from Burg make substantially more than the median in Loudoun County; a number of whom still live in Burg. We could afford to live there, we just choose not to. I personally don’t like that area. Numerous places in the USA that are better options.
