Crooksville Job
Crooksville Job
Any news on where Crooksville is in the process of hiring a new coach?
With Maysville & Zanesville also having a search during the same timeline, curious about the number and quality of the applicants?

Re: Crooksville Job
I've heard Jason Lee's name thrown in the mix here from the thread about Carper and ZVille. I think for Crooksville's sake that might not be a bad play.... has he never won as a HC, no but it sounds like Crooksville needs stability and experience. The problem always talked about with Crooksville is the staff they can put together. IF.... big IF, Lee is the guy can he get another 1-2 guys who are quality coaches around him.... that'd be major.
I mean ask Brownrigg and Board at NL about their quick success... I'm sure they'd say the staff around them is top notch.
I've been open and adamant that Crooksville is a dead job in their current state.... They need to leave the league. Apparently thats not an option for them because they think life is a Disney movie and if you believe hard enough you'll beat bigger and better teams.... whatever. Look at their in conference and out of conference records over the past 5-10-15-20 years and you make a judgement where they should be..... I know "They're a founding member!! blah blah blah". They're the leagues punching bag and gives the bigger schools an easy win in most sports.
The new coach better have a good understanding that going 5-5 or 6-4 with a talented team is statue worthy, then back to 0-10, 1-9, 2-8 in their current state.

Re: Crooksville Job
I heard they finished interviews today? Or that was the plan anyway? Any ideas of who they brought in?
Re: Crooksville Job
Rumor has it that Lee, Assistant from Zanesville & one assistant coach already on staff interviewed? But believe a total of 5 interviewed not sure of the other two?
Re: Crooksville Job
Look for Marcus Pardon Head Coach from Fairfield Christian Academy to be named new Head Coach & School Resource Officer at Crooksville. Unofficial at this time.

Has Pardon started anything at Crooksville? Hired staff, had workouts? Been crickets since he was hired?

Re: Crooksville Job
Heard he kept most of the previous staff on from last year. Wouldn't know if their offseason program is up and running but something better be in place, should of been working out since the start of the year. I assume he's still employed at F.C.A. so either making the drive or another coach is running it.
Re: Crooksville Job
Anything going on? I heard new coach has rarely been there & workouts are non existent?
Re: Crooksville Job
Have not heard anything; however, the downside to taking a job middle of the year is that it’s the middle of the year. Rarely is a candidate let out of their current contract to go elsewhere. He most certainly could be hosting after school workouts once his day at FCA ends - which he may very well be doing.

Re: Crooksville Job
The new coach is going to have a job at the HS. A little hard for Big C to displace the current guy in that role suddenly to make way for the incoming football coach. And even harder for any high school coach to pay bills sitting on no income for an extended period of time.SEOCoach wrote: Sun Apr 06, 2025 3:04 pm Anything going on? Crooksville might also have a lifting class like some schools do.... So if the players are taking it then they should be getting something at least.
