Fort Frye played a good game. They are fast. And that is one thing that hurt Belpre.
Turn around season for the young lady eagles. They will be good again next year
Congratulations to FF on their win.good luck Saturday!

With the win vs belpre Thursday, Fort will.take on Harvest prep Saturday at 7pm. Duskey and Dowler lead the way for the Cadets with 24 and 17 points respectively. On to the Elite eight. Congratulations to belpre on a great season.

Fort Frye played really well last night. What is the scouting report on Harvest Prep? I know they have a lot of size, but outside of that I don’t know much about them

After watching the game last night- they with be a good matchup with FF. I think they have more size but FF plays a lot bigger- and that has always been a FF thing. I think the guard matchup will be good. HP plays fast and can shoot well. They also played a good game last night. I think it will come down to the more disciplined team. I am going to say FF by 6- but a hard fought 6. HP will have to guard the perimeter well and watch Duskey. She can pretty much make plays anywhere. Should be a good game.

From the looks of their schedule, HP will travel anywhere and play anyone. Not a great record, but they have played some big teams.

Interestingly, they defeated Federal Hocking twice this season in competitive games. Federal Hocking split with Belpre. Fort Frye beat Belpre twice. From that? All you can say is that it should be a competitive game.

As far as I can recall, this is the first time these schools have matched up in any sport. Anyone else who can confirm or deny?

Congratulations to Fort Frye. They are playing really well and creating havoc on these teams.

SE Ohio should be proud of both teams heading to the final 4. And they are separated by a river and about a mile.

Sounds like Coach Leidke is gonna be out at Fort Frye as head girls basketball coach. Guess the administration ( superintendent) wants him out and with him not teaching next year, sounds like it's already a done deal. hope I'm wrong

Have been told girls are ready to quit if he's not back. Told superintendent that, she didn't care.

I thought a lot of the kids didn’t play because of him, especially from the sophomore class.

He wasnt the only reason. And the girls that did play, loved him. And my understanding is that none of the girls that quit this year are gonna play next year if he don't coach.

Fort Frye seems to just want to go in a new direction as a high school overall. They wanted to non-renew some teachers who have been there forever and it was a big community uproar for several weeks.

I think that is true. Also I think people are happy with his results but only the kids that get to play like him - but is that really that different from everywhere else. But I think the boys program was down to very few players his last few years there and shot back up after he left. Now the girls numbers are down as well. Maybe coincidence but…. His schedules have always been a little on the soft side but it seems to work and he has been there a long time. But that could be part of the problem as well.

As far as the players, I think they all love the game and will play whoever coaches them. And some of the other girls may come back out as well so life will go on regardless and they will be good. Just don’t let them go to Waterford and hand them another title. LOL
