I'm getting psyched for the 2025-26 season that has already started ...
On another site it was stated that Sheridan's head coach isn't staying. Not sure if that can be confirmed or not. Also interested in your take generally on why you believe Sheridan will be a higher ranking team next season. Not arguing they won't, but besides one marquee player do they have the depth?
Coach Fisher did in fact resign/was not renewed.

... Hookshot , I was told about the "non-renewal" of Coach Fisher back in March ... I'm not one who posts something like that just be "the first" to post it ... I always wait until it has been confirmed, then I either repost or comment about it ... BIG loss for Sheridan - Coach Fisher had much success in his coaching career on the girls side & boys side of hoops with a combined 400+ wins, great season on the boys side back in 2019 with Nathan Heller & Co. ... it will be interesting to see who takes the Sheridan job - and I DO think it will be an excellent coaching spot at SHS (at least talent wise) - Logan Russell/Tyce Whiteman both sophs last season , both of 6-3 size wise ... the Generals lost 3 seniors ... lots of players who got their feet wet with varsity play last season in one of the toughest leagues in Ohio- the MVL - Tri Valley, Maysville, John Glenn, Coshocton, New Lexington etc. the youngsters had to grow up last season ... I was told that Sheridan - starting with the sophs from last season and going down through the ranks have excellent classes of ballers coming through - of course that remains to be seen ... now that Sheridan is looking to fill the head coaching position, did long time assistant Wes Markens not get renewed? I know that when Coach Fisher stepped away from baseball this season, Coach Markens (long time baseball asst as well) walked away ... Who will fill the position? New Lex lost a lot to graduation this season, Coach Duerr at NL is an outstanding coach - might he look at the Sheridan position with talent there and coming up take a look at the Generals open spot? Coach Shaeffer at Fairfield Union stepped down, I have NO idea as the reason why, Coach Shaeffer was/is outstanding as well ... if I'm not mistaken he has connections with Sheridan (lives in the Sheridan school district and a Sheridan grad) ... both of those are just speculation/talking out loud to myself ... I've heard nothing about either one, was just looking at the situations and proximity to a job that is available at Sheridan ... so to answer your question as to why I feel Sheridan will be higher ranked this coming season ... solid sophomore talent - Russell & Whiteman ... a young group of talent in last seasons varsity that played in a solid league, knows game in and game out what it will take to get to the next level within the league ( get better playing against good competition) ... excellent talent coming up from the soph/freshmen/middle school talent pools ...

I'm excited to see what Chesapeake can do next year, with a good run in 2025 next year is promising. Only losing 2 contributing seniors and having one of the best passers in the district (Kazee) they should be strong yet again. Hopefully will get to watch them multiple times again and see what Coach Ater and the Panthers can do. After Watching his sophomore year it's hard to argue Maddox won't receive some division 2 interest this summer and fall.
