Great opportunity for this talented young man.
He has only begun to tap the surface of all his talent.

Here is information from the Elite 11 website:
Aspiring stars from the Class of 2026 and standout underclassmen are invited to showcase their talent at Elite 11 Regional camps for just $50. These immersive, five-hour sessions feature cutting-edge training, testing, and personalized instruction from the country’s leading quarterback coaches and mentors.
Only the best of the best—those who demonstrate unmatched skill, football IQ, and relentless drive—will earn the coveted invitation to the Elite 11 Quarterback Finals in summer 2025.
Sounds like his invite included a $50 fee for anyone who wants to attend. Let’s see if he makes it to the Finals in the summer.

It is always nice for a parent to get some nice videos of their kid at these clinics for their money. Let's hope he receives or any other kid in the region get a true invite back to the finals in the summer.ohbuckeye2 wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 11:34 pmHis mom posted some nice videos, he was throwing great into some pretty tight coverage, looked good, we’ll see.Pirate1745 wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 9:44 pm Here is information from the Elite 11 website:

These clinics remind me of the old "who's who" invite that everyone receive back in the day. You only had to pay $100 to get your picture in the yearbook of the top students in the country. It was just a money making scheme for someone or company.

Just make sure the information is true and accurate then you don't have to worry about a correction. Any athlete (2026-below) could have attended this Elite event if they had the transportation to get there along with a $50 payment. I hope he makes it to the finals but only time will tell. Please keep us updated one way or the other.avalanche wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 2:32 pmCould you be a bigger Debbie Downer?Pirate1745 wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 8:36 amIt is always nice for a parent to get some nice videos of their kid at these clinics for their money. Re: Ironton QB Edwards attending Elite 11
He represented Ironton well either way, ran the fastest 40 out of everyone who attended and showed he’s a really good passer, rolling out and in the pocket.
Re: Ironton QB Edwards attending Elite 11
A couple of confidently incorrect people in here lol.
Elite 11 is selective about their attendees for regional camps. A lot of football camps are the "if you pay you can play" types. Elite 11 isn't one of those. A majority of players who apply to attend are not invited.
As far the finals go, Edwards won't be invited to that event, given that it is for rising seniors, not underclassmen.

Grown adults squabbling over whether he was invited or attended. A player with a UK offer has a Wheelersburg fan up in arms about invited v attended. $50 to attend an ID camp is cheap, it's nothing like paying for the "Who's Who". When a D1 prospect with verified offers attends your ID camp, it's a good thing. God forbid the kid go to a camp to get better and improve his ability to be seen by D1 coaches. He paid $50, the horror.

Re: Ironton QB Edwards invited to Elite 11
The only big deal is that people make it appear like it is an invite only camp when it wasn't. It is like these AAU teams/players getting into national tournaments when all they had to do was pay the fee to enter. That is what is wrong with sports today, things aren't as the adults want them to appear sometimes. Just some simple fact checking can tell us a lot. I wonder if some high schools are paying coaches to come visit now with them being able to make NIL money like players so they can say look what exposure we are getting for recruiting purposes.avalanche wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:22 amWho cares?fbnut wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 4:35 pmso not so much an invite, more a pay and they let you inPirate1745 wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 3:38 pm

You and another Burg fan seem to be the only ones bothered by it. Most ID camps charge a fee, regardless of whether you're invited or not.Pirate1745 wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 10:56 amThe only big deal is that people make it appear like it is an invite only camp when it wasn't. He has multiple D1 offers, including an SEC offer, and you and your buddy are stuck on the fact that he paid $50 to go to a camp. Who cares?
You do know you can be invited to an ID camp and not pay the fee right? Do you know if he did? I coached varsity baseball for nearly 20 years, and we've had a number of D1 kids invited to ID camps that require a fee, and often times they're waived for top recruits. They waive them so that when they market the event they can tell other student-athletes they have X number of kids attending already with Big Ten, SEC, ACC offers. It's how it works. You have no idea if he paid or didn't.
Kids representing an area that has very little success at the college level. The only thing you seem to get out of that is that he had to pay for an entry fee. Despite the fact that it was reported he ran the fastest 40 of any QB at the camp, you continue to "fact check" that he paid $50. Jesus dude, grow up.

Re: Ironton QB Edwards invited to Elite 11
and I am willing to bet that the schools in attendance were happy that a kid with an SEC offer showed up to their ID camp. You and pirate need to grow up. Get out from behind your keyboards and support kids making a name for SEO. It doesn't happen often that kids from this area make it. Most ID camps require a fee, regardless of an invite. Often times they waive fees for kids with existing offers, that way they can market to other participants they have X amount of athletes with Big Ten, ACC, SEC offers.fbnut wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 12:06 pmshould have said that then, "the kid paid $50 to attend a camp to get seen by D1 schools"avalanche wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:22 amWho cares?

Burg fans are insufferable. This should have been nothing but a positive thread giving the kid props.

BTW, Ironton social media said this was an invite-only camp.
