Re: Ironton QB Edwards attending Elite 11
No matter what any social media post says, the elite camp site clearly says that all it took was a $50 fee. You are welcome to go look for yourself because it is all posted right there in easy to understand language. The invite only portion will come with the summer finals so we will see then who is invited. It isn’t a charity event where a D1 recruit can attend these regionals and not pay the $50. Someone may have sponsored him and paid the money for him. I would like to know what kids actually attended and what offers they have. Anyone found that information??

Re: Ironton QB Edwards attending Elite 11
I hear nothing but good things about the kid and his abilities. The problem is when you make it look like it is an invite only camp for the best of the best and it was not at this time. It will be in the summer when they invite the best of who attended the regional camps. It would still come down to who actually attended and where they have offers or is committed to the well-known D1 university football programs.LockHerUp wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 1:49 pm Burg fans are insufferable. This should have been nothing but a positive thread giving the kid props.

You have no idea if he was asked to pay or not. Ironton put out it was invite ONLY. So who do I trust, random Wheelersburg fan, or Ironton's coaching staff.Pirate1745 wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 10:11 pmNo matter what any social media post says, the elite camp site clearly says that all it took was a $50 fee. The part where you're wrong is these camps often times do waive fee's for top recruits. That's a 100% fact, not a guess. I have seen it up close with my own players. I coached a player who played for Clemson baseball, and he was invited to ID camps all over the country with no fee.
Not that any of it matters, you're just salty .

Seriously.
BTW, Ironton social media said this was an invite-only camp.

Either Ironton coaches are not telling the truth, or the random poster guy who constantly goes after Ironton is telling the truth.Pirate1745 wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:35 amWe will all know by the posting of the "elite" roster who will be invited to attended the invite only event this summer after May 18th.avalanche wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:26 amYou have no idea if he was asked to pay or not. As previously mentioned, I have first-hand experience in this arena, and just because you read a website doesn't mean all circumstances are the same. I have had more than one prospect get their fee waived. I assume you understand how marketing these events works. Easy to market when you have D1 offers at your camp. Again, none of this matters given he has an SEC offer and multiple D1 offers.
For reference: Mosanna Torbert (multiple D1 offers), Jaxson Dosh (Western Michigan commit), Briggs Cherry (Louisville commit), Brady Edmunds (OSU commit), Israel Abrams (multiple BIG Ten offers), and Brady Palmer (Ohio State and USC offers) were at the camp.

However, Edwards is a 27, so he's not getting an invite to the 26 Elite 11 camp.

What… I thought it was already an invite only camp. I guess partial information is good for marketing and recruiting of a program.fbnut wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 12:15 pmDo you have to attend these camps to get an invite to the actual elite camp?avalanche wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 9:41 amEither Ironton coaches are not telling the truth, or the random poster guy who constantly goes after Ironton is telling the truth.Pirate1745 wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:35 am

I am not linked to Ironton's program, but this is a small world, which doesn't mean I don't know coaching staff members very well. I will leave it at that.Pirate1745 wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 9:25 pmYou have a lot of information not to be linked to the program.avalanche wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 9:41 amEither Ironton coaches are not telling the truth, or the random poster guy who constantly goes after Ironton is telling the truth.Pirate1745 wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:35 am

Is now a bad time to mention Beaver Eastern’s Brewer Tomlison was invited to the O line portion of the same expo in Massillon? And earned O line mvp status after going 12-2 in his 1 on 1s. Saw on X.

One never knows who the keyboard warrior is that is working behind the scene. We just know that some people have lots of information not to be linked to certain programs. I am sure the Tomlinson kid's parents paid the $50 for him to attend. Anytime you can get exposure at camp, I don't blame them at all. Please keep us informed if he gets to attend the true "invitation only" finals in the summer.Hoopster98 wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 11:11 am You saw on X about the Tomlinson kid. Dear Player,
We invite you to pay $50 to attend our elite camp of 1,000 players.
Id love to see proof from UK that he has a scholarship waiting on him. A handshake means NOTHING now in this college landscape. Of course he probably is good enough and I wish him the best, but Ironton is notorious for their players getting "D1 offers" and then going D2 or NAIA.

How rich, coming from you. You have 40+ posts in your history on this board, and nearly all of them are on Ironton. Living rent free in your head, buddy. It must be exhausting to be obsessed with your rival.Pirate1745 wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 12:45 pmOne never knows who the keyboard warrior is that is working behind the scene.
