A Los Angeles singer named Brend Holloway ,who plotted her discovery by attending a DJ convention in Los Angeles.Berry Goode Jr. walked in while the sexy Holloway was lip-synching to a Mary Wells record,and she created enough of a impression to earn a Motown contract.

Brenda went on to write and record "You're Made Me So Very Happy"popularized by Blood,Sweat and Tears in 1969

Capital Records wouldn't release this song as a single (already on the Beach Boys album,All Summer long) so Brian Wilson went to the Hondells and sang lead on their hit version.

The Hondells did a commercial for Honda.

I LIKE IT LIKE THAT...Chris Kenner, 1961...Was a MONSTER hit in this area, stayed #1 on WKEE-AM 6 weeks

HEY JUDE...Beatles, 1968...Claimed by some to be the best-selling Beatles' single of all, it's actually in second place behind "I want To Hold Your Hand". Both were monsters in the Tri-state area.

THEME FROM "A SUMMER PLACE"...Percy faith & his orchestra, 1960-Possibly the greatest instrumental hit in the Tri-State area, at least since I've lived here.
