eastern pike vs Portsmouth east

I have a few things to say...first off East can play on big floor. Secondly we know who the best player in the S.O.C. is. Third East is deserving of a 2 seed (especially now that they have beaten Eastern home/away) and Eastern has beaten peebles and on a 8 game win streak with arguably the best coach in S.E.O. yeah East may have laid an egg at Clay (which is a tough place to play, esp coming off a huge layoff due to snow). East is capable of beating anyone on a neutral floor (big or small) all the hate they get is unbelievable. If you were at that game you can't make excuses, East controlled the entire game until refs tried to give it to Eastern in the End. Blaine Scott did foul out late but East kept their poise. Brown led all scores with 29 I do believe. Eastern freshman guard played a well of a game. Still a few more conference games left but East sits alone at the top and control their own destiny. ....last but not least all parents for East remained in the contest lol. Let the hating begin

I thought brown played well as he always does he is the best player in the league east can beat anyone on a big floor but they are better at home which is what I believe people are saying they are a lot better at home akia brown can play any where but the team is best at home. I don't believe the refs tried to give it to eastern I thought both teams got a bad deal tonight a lot of contact when Brown was going to the hole never got,called,as well for eastern players. Evan leist showed he can play with anyone tonight, Martin didn't shoot well but still prolly had close to a double double may been a point shy and Ethan leist was in double figures as well east is a good team with a great player teams will have to stop or east will beat them.

Im not going to sit here and say the refs may not have missed a call for Eastern but C'mon man!! You were there, those refs allowed Brown to be grabbed,held and bumped all night(no excuse for it) he darn near was knocked to the floor on a couple occasions with no call. The refs allowed Eastern players to fall with the basketball, take steps with the ball but no call...and that last fouk on Scott to get him out the game,you believe that was a foul? No way. I hate to blame officials but they were not fair in my book. The Nest is already a tough place to play,Eastern doesn't need the xtra help. They are a great team. We could go back and forth all night but the film wont lie. Thats a fact.

Tough loss tonight for the Eagles, east played a good game. I am a little surprised that eastern did not play a zone defense , they continuously let Akia Brown get to the rim, and never really switched things up , it's just my opinion, but I think I would make Brown beat me from the outside, and if he's hitting shots , so be it , but I thought eastern would switch to a zone and they never did.
Congrats to east , they played a good game and deserved the win, Akia Brown is a really good player , and for eastern they have to shake this off , as , a good north Adams team will b the nest tomorrow night.

north Adams has been playing good lost to peebles tonight by 5 so they played a tough one tonight too.

Clay played real nice /aggressive zone against East and was able to control Brown and the game.If anyone would have scouted that game it provided a nice recipe for defense against them. That said a nice bounce back win for East. Good to hear from asb that all remained to see the outcome.

I did not know what defense clay played against them , but I assumed a 1-3-1, u never know if it would have changed the outcome of tonight s game or not, but I was surprised eastern didn't try it .

They used couple different zones and simply forced them to shoot from the perimeter. The key was they stopped penetration. Brown has proven he can get to the basket one on one. I assume he was able to get to the rim tonight given his point total.

Yes, I think he had 29 points, I think he hit 1 three, and the rest was shots at the rim from penetration, u r exactly right , a zone would have limited that penetration , just a little surprising eastern guards him so tight , and lets him penetrate , he is extremely quick, guarding him closely plays to his strength.

maybe coach barrick just don't play zone I have no idea but when ur trying to win a ball game what ever defense it takes to slow the other team down is the right recipe some change should of been made last night IMO but wasn't and a tough loss for the eagles looking on to north Adams tonight.

asb eastern beat north Adams tonight. if Brown is ur son that something to be proud of he is a great player people think this because u are his fan not so much east u stated before if he was ur kid he wouldn't be at east.

Good to see that Eastern bounced back from the loss to East. These games will only get them more prepared for the one and done time of the season.
