Congrats to Jackson and although I'm a TVC guy it's sad to see the end of a GREAT confrence.
Re: WK7 Jackson (4-2) vs Logan (1-5)
Congrats ironmen a win over logan is always big .let's get ready for meigs
Re: WK7 Jackson (4-2) vs Logan (1-5)
Proud of the effort that Jackson showed tonight. They overcame a tough week and won the school's 25th SEOAL championship, and the fifth in the last eight years. It's sad to see the end of an era, but I'm glad the Ironmen ended the SEOAL on a good note.
Bryce Hall made some great throws tonight, Blake McCoy was outstanding as usual, Farley played well, and I was very impressed with Matt Humphreys. Just a great all around effort. Let's get win #6 next week!

That planting of Minor was epic! Not too surprised with the results.Didn't attend but sounds like the Logan secondary was a mess tonight in coverage and tackling.Hate to see it come to an end ,but I doubt either team will miss the trip up and down 93.

Couldn't go to the game, had to listen to the giggling clown show. Good last SEOAL win for Jackson. Hate to see it end.
Re: Jackson 46 Logan 14
Even with the clown show they where right on point about Logan's defense that was the real clown show!TRENCHFOOT wrote:Couldn't go to the game, had to listen to the giggling clown show. Good last SEOAL win for Jackson. Hate to see it end.

I finally figured that out but couldn't really tell from all the living room type giggling most of the time.LHS 72 wrote:Even with the clown show they where right on point about Logan's defense that was the real clown show!TRENCHFOOT wrote:Couldn't go to the game, had to listen to the giggling clown show. Re: Jackson 46 Logan 14
Last year this was a good match up that I was able to see.
Glad to see Jackson won again.

... I've listened to the radio broadcasts all season - the time, effort that both of the broadcasters put into bringing those of us not in attendance is greatly appreciated by MANY folks in the Hocking Hills area - I thank both Scott Vermillion and Wade Davis ...
... Logan vs DeSales this coming week for Homecoming ... it's Spirit Week at the high school ... homecoming dance on Saturday ...

Second that Pfloyd, I really appreciate all the time Scott and Wade put into their broadcasts, win or lose, fun to listen to.
I'll be listening to Scott this winter during basketball season as well as I won't be able to make it to hardly any games since I've moved away from the area.

Re: Jackson 46 Logan 14
Everything I got from the radio broadcast was confirmed by Craig Dunn in his game wrap up with the LDN :
* LHS was outplayed offensively & defensively ...
Logan 7 first downs ... Jackson 20
Logan 99 yds on the ground to Jackson's 208 yds
Logan 89 yds passing to Jackson's 334 yds
Logan connected on less than half of their passes (6-18 with 2 INTs) Jackson over 70% completion rate 12/17 with 2 INTs
Logan had to punt 5 times ... the Logan D failed to force a single Jackson punt on the night
Logan had less than 200 of offense (188yds) while Jackson ran and passed for 542 yds on the game ...
... the broadcast pointed out that Jackson had their way with the Logan secondary all night (334 yds 5 TD passes) ... 5 different receivers for Jackson with TD receptions ... McCoy for Jackson avg. over 30 yds per reception, Farley avg. 32 yds per reception, Evans 10+ yds per reception, Coffey 69 yds per reception, Neal 20 yds per reception ... in my book that equals what the broadcasters pointed out " the secondary for Logan looked totally confused" ... "unable to cover the JHS receivers ... "lost the receiver" = Logan unable to stop the Ironmen when they went up top <= 5 different receivers with TD receptions ... 4 receivers with receptions of over 20 yrds ... <= secondary issues as pointed out by the broadcasters
... the broadcast team pointed out that the Logan D line was being "pushed around" ... Jackson with over 200 yds on the ground ... Farley 134 yds averaged 5.5 yds per carry ... McCoy 40 yds , 8 yds per touch ... Haller 4 yds per carry ... Storms 5 yds per carry ... = exactly as the broadcasters pointed out the D line was being pushed around ...
... Logan offensively ... the radio guys said that Logan O-line was being "beaten at the point of attack" ... Logan ran for 99 yds ... held the ball for less than half the game with 19 minutes of possession time for the 4 qtrs ... only 1 offensive TD for the game by the Logan offense ...
... I would say that Scott & Wade were right on the money with their broadcast ... as they pointed out that this was the 5th time in 7 games that Logan has had to be saved by the running clock ...

I don't mind them having a good time. That is what you're supposed to do as a sports broadcaster, it's a fun job! If you've listened to a lot of other high schools sports broadcasts, you'd be happy we have people like we do on the radio announcing the Chiefs games, both football and basketball.

2009, I apologize if I hurt any ones feelings. I wasn't putting them down in my post above in anyway. Poor wording I guess on my part. I too appreciate them putting in they're time to do each game.
