Weight room turn out
Is everybody having their players lifting now? How many do you average per night?
Re: Weight room turn out
my son's telling me there is 15-20 in the weight room everyday and they are running on wednesday's. There is the biggest part of our team that play summer sports and are still working out with baseball and track daily, Got a look at a few of them the other day and they are working their butts off and getting bigger

Im guessing most teams only have 15 - 20 people lifting like they should be , 100 seems a bit much to me.

I've did some lifting around Minford with a crowd like that, but we tried to work on our endurance and maxed out at 12 ounces.

Yep sounds like minford to me.

I know Minford lifts monday, tuesday, thursday, and saturday..and i know people that are active in the spring sports can lift in the morning instead so it doesn't surprise me that there are 90-100 kids lifting(although id estimate at least 70 and as much as 85)... They work on things other just lifting(i.e. conditioning, agility, explosiveness, endurance, skills)...
Re: Weight room turn out
90-100 kids in Minford, boy I guess someone has them excited about football out there. Everything I've ever read about Minford lack of success is due to poor turnout. So, with 90-100 as you say we'll see if that theory holds true and we should expect Minford to have a winning season.

The entire SYSTEM is working great in Minford, kids are excited to play. Now they understand that to win, you must put time into it in the off-season. With all the sessions available, I wouldn't be suprised if the numbers are this high.
Re: Weight room turn out
I agree that is putting fourth the necessary effort to be a winning program, so we’ll see if that translates into wins for the Falcons.

If they have 100 lifting then thats more than half the male student body ,they should be a powerhouse IF its true.

That is hardly 1/2 the male student body. I don't know the actual numbers, but I would guess the actual amount of kids lifting is closer to 60 or so. Around 10 or so lift at 6 AM and the rest lift in the afternoons.

Wellston is div-4 with 198 male students, Minford is div-5 so I was guessing more than half of the male student body.

If you are counting the entire male student body (9-12), then no that would not be correct. If you were only counting grades 10-12, then yes it would be as Minford had around 183 in grades 10-12 at the last census that was taken for divisional assignments.
Re: Weight room turn out
I think div assignments are based on enrollment of the 9-11 grade boys or girls.

You are correct. Right church, wrong pew.
