I was reading in our paper, and they ask those in the parade, NOT to toss candy from their floats or moving vehichles

You have to personally hand them out to people hand-to-hand in a lot of parades nowadays.

I don't mind the personal contact, although, you get to see the rude people that won't accept candy or literature.

One reason I don't mind is because one time I threw a tootsie roll, and (on accident) it went DOWN an older, large-bosomed ladies shirt!

whoday, I was right beside the Marine Battalion for over an hour....And, was right behind them in the Parade....I don't see how you could have missed me....

I think I was mainly on 5th (maybe?) street. I did meet a Master Gunnery Sergeant from RS Charleston, though, which was cool.
