Re: Jackson vs Warren Local
Looking forward to this one. Hope the Ironladies can avenge their only loss of the season so far.

Re: Jackson vs Warren Local
Would someone please post the final as soon as it is available. Thanks alot!
Re: Jackson vs Warren Local
Warren led by 18 or so and Jackson fired back but Warren finished the job.
Re: Jackson vs Warren Local
Final was 55-49 in favor of Warren. Gotta give credit to the Lady Warriors. They basically couldn't miss in the first half, getting out to a 32-16 lead after two quarters. They still led 45-28 after the 3rdQ, but Jackson put together a furious comeback to make it a 49-47 with just over a minute to go. Down the stretch, Jackson's Harless and Ridout had two shots touch nearly every part of the rim, but they wouldn't go down. Warren made their free throws and sealed the deal.
Great heart shown by the Ironladies though. They could have given up when they were down by nearly 20 points, but they put together a 19-4 run during the fourth quarter. In the end, they just ran out of gas and Warren made some big plays to clinch the win. Heather Chapman was amazing for the Ironladies, and gave them a ton of energy during their second half rally. She, and the rest of the Ironladies, deserve a lot of credit for the way they played in that second half.
Tough loss for the Ironladies, and Warren certainly has the inside track to the SEOAL crown now. Gotta take care of South Webster on Monday and then go to Logan and finish off the season at 18-2. Still a lot to play for, so the Ironladies need to keep their heads up.
Again, congrats to Warren. Great effort from their girls, outstanding shooting all night, and clutch free throws in the final minutes.

Re: Jackson vs Warren Local
First off, congrats to Warren Local. They are a fine team that played hard, smart and had maybe the best composure I've seen in a long time.....they earned this win.
Jackson played hard and just had some heart-breaking shots not go in while Warren banked in a couple long shots. Jackson used up a ton of energy and maybe contributed to missing too many free throws. Tremendous energy all night from Meredith Harless, Heather Chapman and Madison Ridout. I think Ridout ended with 21 and Chapman ended with 19. I wouldn't be surprised if Chapman makes an all-league team of some sort.
Again, congrats to Warren....you earned it. Now the officiating???? Kudos to the girls for never succumbing to throwing swings or punches. I think the first half had 11 fouls called (8 Jackson, 3 Warren)...it was bodies everywhere and Warren Local was more comfortable with it and used it to their advantage. Then in the 2nd half Warren has a huge lead and then the officiating then swings to our favor. We are frantically playing our tails off but pushing, holding fouling often (because it was ok to do and the way to claw back) and the refs called nothing. I know this was a big game and they let you play more in the tourney....but why? What's a foul?
I'll tell you what...that's not basketball, that was ridiculous. I just don't remember being 90 feet from the basket and reaching and smacking is not the obvious foul. Tonight's game you could've reached, changed their direction, hacked slapped...wouldn't matter, nothing was a foul. I'm shocked there wasn't a fight during that game. Good job by all the girls for playing through it. Seriously, in football the 220 lbs QB with a top of the line safety helmet gets struck in the head by a hand it's a 15 yard penalty....but in this game it was nothing....either way.
Good Luck to Warren in the tourney. Time for Jackson to make their run now...hoping for about 8 or 9 in a row.

Re: Jackson vs Warren Local
Congrats to the Lady Warriors and thier coaches! I had a good feeling all day that the Lady Warriors were ready to go to Jackson and get the WIN! Thanks Ironman92 for the rundown of how the game went. Evidently it was a typical SEOAL "rock fight" between two good teams. Theres one thing I know about ANY Jackson team, you had better come ready, because they will play hard right to the finish! Again congrats to the Lady Wariors and staff. Good Luck for the rest of your season! "GO WARRIORS" "I love this game"

I could copy and paste this for the Oak Hill game today. EXACTLY the same game.
